For certain, the media is irresponsible.

Example #1,233,422 why you can't trust the media.

Katrina Takes a Toll on Truth

BTW, all of you who were looking down upon these people because of what was reported to be going on...

IN YOUR FACE!

/got that out of system

Well, in the age of 24 hour news television and Fox, there will be disinformation, and wild rumours reported as fact.

Ever notice CNN/FOX has a developing story for about 15-30 minutes before it leads?

If you don't think you're being SOLD television news, you're a fool.

I'd rather get my news from print/internet media, there is lead time to report, and they don't have to be sensational, they can report the facts, or that there are a lack of facts.

It's rash and ill-formed thinking... and selling the product.

well in a nutshell someone said it before in a previous post.... but heres it paraphrased:

"9/11 everyone was americans, by katrina everyone was back to being either black or white. When all the BS started to surface cause of the superdome, the majority of the news and people who spoke on it were making it seem like all blacks act like the current ways being "allegedly reported",but now since its "supposedly false" or mostly false, alot of people who spoke on it correlating it with skin color being the cause (stereotype that blacks are the evil ones, agressive, etc etc etc) in hindsight were on the racist end of things."

Agustin: true, but you have a record of what was said, and they can print retractions.

I've yet to see CNN say it had a story dead to rights wrong ever.
