Well, I think that Clinton actually DID something productive with his time... He did use it to become a Rhodes Scholar

Bush just helped his Dad's friend get elected in Alabama...

Clinton got accepted to Oxford in Britian, and that was a legitimate way to avoid drafting. It was done by hundreds of eligible draftees. He didn't cut and run to Canada, he left for university, came back, and was too old to serve.

Slight difference, Clinton didn't pretend to be a "war veteran" during his campaign.

Other than that, they both were half-sissies.

And if Jeb Bush runs for office, I'm moving.

good point, very good point. What I STILL and will NEVER understand, is the first 4 years of his term, I heard nothing good of him, EVERYONE i know wanted him out, I never heard one person talk good of him...yet miraculously he won again?! And it was mostly the hardcore christian retards because bush is "against abortion"....I mean, it's great they elected him since he made abortion illegal

I don't recall that... either way, Clinton didn't make it his banner. He never called himself a "war president," even though I think he was responsible for sending more troops on peace-keeping and peace-making missions (under the UN flag) than any other president.

Anyhow...

We've hit the Baldwins, Cher, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie... Each time they've dumped a load of booklets..

Anyhow... you'll see either a Moose or a Wolverine pass by your door... leave them a buck or two if you don't mind. They don't like puppies

He called himself a veteren so thats basicly the same thing. Clinton sent more troops to more parts of the world then any other president in histoy! Hes the one that started the US sticking its nose into everyones bizz when it wasn't wanted or needed or asked for. Now Bush has taken that to the next level. But i'm not gonna get into which one is worse again.

Well I'm still waiting! But I've been drinking Molsen and Canadian whiskey in preperation. Anything else I can do?

And the dog I'm getting is the closest relative to the only animal in the world a Grizzley bear actualy fears. Any guesses as to what scares a grizzley bear? Or what kinda dog it is I'm getting?

IIRC, there wasn't a time that US troops were sent anywhere unless they were already there, or under UN mandate. I still don't remember Clinton ever calling himself a veteran, if you say he did, that's fine, but he never made it a plank in his election platforms.

The Moose delivery service has a box of booklets for you and your neighbours to prepare... I'll get the wolverine messenger service to get you one asap so you can start converting the masses. I'll also send along a few pounds of back-bacon and a gallon of the real maple syrup and maybe some maple loaf if you're lucky.

You're getting Bull mastiff?

NO ! The only animal in the world a Grizzly bear fears is a wolf. If they see one wolf they run like hell! Know why? Cause theirs no such thing as just one wolf! And a Grizzly can't take out a pack so it'll turn tail and run every time. Anyway I'm getting the smaller cuter version of a wolf, A husky!

I'm awaiting the moose then.

Carter and Regan did way more damage than Clinton as far as "sticking their nose in goes".

Carter was the one behinbd "Operation Iron Fist" in leaque with Isreal to devastate Lebanon. Regan had a good time over there too. Nice work fellas..

Oh wait, Who was in charge when the US was made to look like Isreali stooges after the attack on the USS Liberty? I forget, but no good came of that lack of actiojn either.

Let's not blame any one president for 60 years of meddling and destruction.

Ever heard of approval polls?

George HW Bush has been out of office for 15 years, People didn't like him then... or now.

Nixon has been dead for a while, Out of office for almost 30 years... Didn't like him then, or now.

LBJ has been out of office for almost 40 years ... He wasn't approved of then, or now.

Clinton, had the highest approval rating even in the middle of the Whitewater scandal. He's still regarded as giving the US the best financial position it had been in, in 30 years.

Eisenhower was responsible for creating the foothold for today's infrastructure, and was also responsible for bringing in several GI bills that allowed home ownership, education, healthcare and tax breaks for Military personnel. His approval was over 80% for his entire term.

Regan set the stage for our conflicts today, tripled the national debt and quintupled the defecit in 4 years, and basically re-ignited the cold-war. He did nothing but accelerate what was already happening in Russia by 5-6 years. He approval ratings barely peaked at 70% when the Berlin wall came down (which he had nothing to do with, thank Gorbechev for that).

Truman spear-headed the use of nuclear weapons and turned the US from a protagonist in WWII to an imperial power. His financial reforms in order to pay out the debts incurred in the war were not well liked, but, he is now respected for making those choices, and getting the government to follow his plan.

I would be willing to bet that the man who just posted above me knows more about American history than 99% of Americans. And he is a Canadian. lol
Ironic huh?

GAM knows his stuff, that's for sure.

We do find it interesting that most Canadians seem to know more about the US than the average American. Then you look at world history and the situation becomes kinda sad really.

What tops it off is the number of people who say that US's foreign policy has little to do with the major conflicts in the world today.. Arrrg. If only they read their own history. It doesn't help that the administration likes to hide a good junk of it.

How many Americans know what happened to the USS Liberty, just as an example.

I don't know a lot, but I can ferret things out and put things together in a hurry. Not only that, but I'm cute, and I work cheap.

Canadians know more about the US than the average American knows because we HAVE to know it. Our Country is so tied to the US, that if we didn't, we'd risk being overtaken (Oh how the tables have turned! *Maniacal evil laugh*).
