trust me GAM....i agree that death from shock sucks.....but thats why if an @!#$ breaks into my home, they won't die fo shock.......they'yll die from wounds

oh and the morphine induced coma state is (at least IMO) rare.....usually the bullets do the job.....at least in the place of the last guy I shot he was dead before the 4th shot hit its mark......so I still say that guns are the best method of self defense

No doubt, but addressing the roots of crime as opposed to just the symptoms is a much more fruitful (and cheaper) way of crime deterrence, you would have to agree.

The victim in the case I was talking about earlier was in an induced coma because keeping him awake in ICU meant that he was in inviolate pain and there was no way to extricate the bullet (it had mushroomed in the spinal cord, there was no way to get it out without paralysis). He died of complications as I remember.
