Shock Jocks can go screw themselves. They only defame others to make themselves look good (more like feel good) anyway. It serves no purpose.

Look at it this way. It a private business, they don't like what he said and they pulled him. Fully within their rights as business owners. There is no defence. He could have said "I like stawberry ice cream". If the show sponsors only sold buttersctch ice cream, that would be grounds for termination. Good enough.
