Abbas is in a really precarious position: He's trying to make his government legitimate, and not bowing to the whim of extremists, but he also has to contend with the fact that they are the only army of Palestine...

BTW, Isreal is still not stopping with the rocket attacks on refugee camps, the expropriation of houses and other little acts that seem to draw the ire of the extremists...

In that situation, no one is without bloody hands.

I swear ,sometimes .. I think that because
they've been at it for so damned long, that it's
becoming a part of there DNA to kill each other off ..

I hope they find lasting peace soon, somehow ... I doubt it though .

yet more good news on the issue!

this abbas guy might turn out to be a good thing.

if he continues to put this kind of pressure on the extremists we might actually see peace!!
huh?

No, he was just agreeing.. See, if Hamas did it, it would fit the pattern.

Are you trying to up-play hamas?

What if he gets killed by a lower ranking PLO guy.. What then?

You haven't proved that... and I do admit when I'm wrong.

You got a LOT of reading to do..

No, actually i don't. 99% of what you post is clearly opinion.....
Backed up by fact and history... I just assume everyone knows how to use the search button.... Most of the stuff I post has roots in articles, op-eds and some basic research from non-partisan and partisan sites (that reference to founded studies)... Also, a lot of what gets posted is merely rehashing something that was posted earlier. Like I said, I figured most people have followed War Forum for a while.

The maybe 20% of simple opinion I post is clearly denoted, and generally expressed as my line of thought given my reading list...
