Ya...... he's right....

I wish he wasnt..... but he is...

The economy will probably keep going back up far awhile...... then stall, and plumet to the ground.

There is only 2 ways that things are going to get better.

#1.

Banks stop loaning money to private people pretty much all together.... They significantly raise there standards and only loan money THAT THEY HAVE to people that are significantly low risk. And stop buying debt from other banks....

Now the banks that go under because they made bad decisions, or where forced to by the community reinvestment act take the loans they made to people with them... freeing a significant amount of people around the country from debt. Now the remaining banks will be stronger and be more able to do business with credible businesses, allowing buisnesses to grow and creating jobs. I know less, more powerful banks isn't a good thing... but it will work in the short term AS LONG AS THE BANKS DONT PULL ANYTHING LIKE FRANNIE AND FREDDY DID AND REMAIN HONEST. Later on, more banks will form yet again. Although a lot of people will still have to file bankruptcy and start over from scratch..... these are bad times, and not everyone can be saved or helped.

The government stops f@cking with the free market all together...... Stops printing money...... stops spending money that doesn't absolutely have to be spent. And they go through and set an actual budget for themselves much in the same way lower income families have to. Im not talking about balancing the budget..... I'm talking about a serious funding cutting budget that NO ONE will like, and a lot of government funded agencies will go under.... but at least we wont run out of money.....

The housing markets drop back down to where it should be and people that are still afloat can afford houses again.

Now with banks doing business with people that PAY THEM BACK..... companies with good Financial track records can start borrowing again and doing business with each other, wich would bring our economy back up and start creating jobs.... slowly repairing the damage done over time.....

And thats just a short list I though of off the top of my head..... it's not hard to fiqure out...


Or theres option #2

Everything comes crashing down and our entire nation has to start over from scratch...... like a forest renews itself after a forest fire.

The worst part is that if the economy does crash we dont have a good way to get out of it. The only thing that got us out of the Great Depression was WWII and I dont see anything like that happening again to save us.

The issue isnt printing money. Its loans. Banks can "make" hundreds of times more money than printing can. By giving out a loan they effectively create money they dont have. They just wire it to someones account. I need to get my stuff out from economics again. I forget how it goes completely.

Actually, the problem is the "printing" of money (remember, most of the time now, they're not actually using the paper, it's all electronic), because of what you're getting at with the loans. The banks' ability to create that money though loans is directly related to how much money they have. When the reserve adds money to the system, it goes to the banks, and the banks multiply it.

And Geitner has already said today that he is open to it, in spite of saying yesterday that they are opposed to the idea of a global currency.

You want to know a program we couldn't afford?
The "War" on terror.

Fox news is good for lots of fluff but little fact. That video in its entirety just says we printed a trillion dollars. Which our government has been doing to years. This man knows one fact of history, but nothing surrounding the reason why 1 trillion was created. Conspiracy theories and fear mongering is all he's selling. Go America!

Our banks make 10:1 loans all day long

10 dollars for every dollar they have......

Lets not take our eyes of the reasons why we're in this recession in the first place.

I thought one of the main reason all this crap happened is because we have all been living on credit for so long instead of actual cash.

If your taking a loan out... chances are... you really cant afford what your buying.....

If you can afford it.... fine..... it's the people that cant that are the problem..... we need to stop that from happening.... by raising the standards for loans back up instead of just loaning to anyone (look up the community reinvestment act) it's what caused all this.... or most of it anyway.

Have you listened to the President at all over the last few months? Can you really claim that there is anyone out there using more fear mongering than him?

Yes, banks create money on a 10:1 ratio. However, it's directly affected by how much they have. The more the government prints and introduces into the system, the more the banks can create.

So if you do the math, that one trillion will allow the banks to create ten trillion out of it. If you don't think this move is going to devalue the dollar insanely, you don't completely understand the monetary system.

There are theorists out there that believe devaluing the dollar can actually increase our exporting, but it will not change the fact that people won't be able to afford anything, since inflation will increase the cost of living faster than exporting will increase income.

The only history being made is the titanic bill my grandkids will have to pay for this socialists 4 years in office.
I make it a point to remind my Obama supporting family of this daily. they voted based on education which they are now goign to kill by allowing union teachers to sit in positions tehy dont have a fear of losing if they are incompetent.

It doesnt help without the majority of the countries support. The only reason WWII pulled us out was because almost the entire country supported it and supported retooling factories and producing war goods. What sacrifice will most people make for this war? Nothing. We arent having any increase in production since were in this war. If you look at production before WWII and during it goes up like 400%. We arent having a production increase like that.

There is a big difference between WW2 and the currrent War.

In WW2.... Automobile factories where building B17 bombers and and employed thousands of Americans (the majority of them women) with jobs..... American munition companies where supplying our forces..... american companies where building new aircraft and vehicles and supplying the american, french and british troops.... WW2 played a huge role in the advancement of our war, automotive, aeronautic, and weapon technology.... all being built and tested by american companies.... which in turn created millions of jobs accross our nation..... WW2 actually caused the jumpstart on jet technology in airplanes...... it was one of the more historical times in our history...

It was nothing like what is going on now....... the "global war on terror" will not and can not make our country money.... it just costs us money.

Even if we where in an actual war with an actual country and we where bombing and shooting the hell out of them.... it would only help a few companies that supply our munitions and automotive, aeronautic parts...... it wouldn't jump start the economy because we are soo damn more advanced then everyone else in the world now a days that we already have what we need to easily beat them in an actual war.

Please tell me how how you think the global war on terror can possibly help our economy other than the usual oil bullcrap..... please give me a reasonable well though out answer....

I would like every one right now to take a step back and look at what they themselves and everyone else has said. Then if you would please look up what you and others have said in the last 9 months. It will amaze you on how people have crossed lines and jumped to another side.

All for one reason. We want to stay afloat.

I do just as much as the next person. So lets truly identify what each and every one of us can do to fix it and do it. Laying blame will no longer fix this there is no democrat and republican who is to blame ( i don;t want to hear it) lets just work to fix it no matter what. This is why America has always been great and can still be. Inspire this in everyone you know and soon the country will turn around.

^^^^^^^ That would be nice..... but I personally believe if where going to get through this economy problem... it's going to be purely through dumb luck.

I've kinda lost all hope in the human race.... it's sad I know..... but.... I kinda hope that we just kill ourselves off some days.

Although in every cynic lies a dreamer..... but I know my dreams will never come true.

I can relate to what your saying..... I'm as much for working together as anyone.... I've just lost all hope for it happening.
