1998 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24

About This Vehicle:

Purchased it for $1350 and had a blown engine. It's basically my get in and cruise around and take to car show's car. It is in VERY nice condition for being 9 years old, odometer is still shy of 100,000 miles sitting at 98,000 right now. Sits in my garage and gets worked on just about every night. I pride myself in everything I do to this car and take my time with everything. I really enjoy it and don't think I'll ever sell. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only a few things about this car stood out to me as blemishes I didn't like when I first got it. One of them was the stock tan or 'pewter' interior it came with. I have since gone through and swapped it with the darker 'graphite' color as well as a few carbon fiber accents here and there. Another was the stock Z24 spoiler, it had to go. I purchased a JSP carbon fiber trunk lid for the car in the winter of 2006/2007 and could not have been happier that the spoiler was finally gone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -I pride myself in having nice new parts for this car. GM Genuine is by far my favorite parts source to go through. The interior has pretty much all been replaced with new or like-new parts and pieces. My goal is to have the newest car possible, if that means restoring every square inch than so be it. In the summer of 2007 I purchased a number of new GM replacement parts for it as well as installed them myself. They include: -Radiator -AC Condenser -AC Compressor -AC Lines -AC Dryer canister -Every front splash shield/inner fender liner. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During the 2008 season I installed: -new GM 00-05 carpet -new GM floor mats -new GM graphite headliner and sunshade -low mileage graphite seat belts out of a 2004 LS Sport. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For 2009 the car has gotten: -new AC Delco water pump -new GM spare tire well cover -graphite speckled front seats out of a 2004 LS Sport -graphite speckled 70/30 split rear seat out of a 2004 LS Sport -new GM 03-05 rear splash shields/fender liners -new GM driver side door sill threshold plastic molding (with a-pillar tab)
