I saw the Sunfire that went for $80k, as well as an '02 Cavalier LS Sport that went for nearly $30k but it wasnt modded, really.. it was Pepto Pink and had leapard print interior. it was a breast cancer awareness promo car
anyone notice the red/yellow SC2 in the background of the drag car pic? Super Street ran a promo for that car, the Sunfire GXP concept and the Cavalier 263 SS concept.. I still have the pull-out pin-up

It wasn't the GXP. It was the HO. I have the same pull-out from that magazine lol.

the gxp sunfire concept was a dark grey/gunmetal color. same as in gt4.
according to barret jacksons site the sunfire xplorer is a 03 thats yellow. they don't have a picture of it though.

i think the cav made around 6-700hp , and was john moss's baby that he could never get to run right , and when bothwell racing was heading up GM's drag program , they got it running great
also the car has had a couple different front clips

reading from barrett-jackson.com its saying quite a few of them are going to be on auction on january 13th. no pictures are listed of any of them though and hardly a description.

You are correct!! The HO Sunfire was Orange, with adjustable rear wing (from inside the cabin). had a 2.4 with Gm charger. I have that pull out. All 3 cars where HOT!!!
