so let me get this straight. the 2.2L eco came with 140 hp stock, but the 2.4 pushrod engine had 150?

the 2.4 is not a push rod engine. it is a over head cam. the 2200 had pushrods. other then that yes the 2.4 had 150 and the eco had 140 yet the eco has more aftermarket support where as the 2.4 is more of a make your own parts or buy custom parts.....

the 2.4 is not a pushrod motor... the 2.4 is a DOHC motor based off the quad family engines... the 2.2 LN2/2200 motor is the pushrod motor which came 120/110 stock depending on year.

Isn't it nice to learn the Eco is in fact *NOT* the whore of motors =)

Definitely an '03 to '05 cavalier. A more versitile engine and as others have said, if you want the "retro" styling, that's no problem. Just hit up your local wreckers!

This is the correct answer, I can't believe that it took to the 2nd page for it.

You need a 96 with a 2.2l and a 3 speed.

Not many parts for it, Un-tuneable, And the tranny just lets you feel all 98WHP.

That is the perfect J. Keeps you from dumping money into a POS.
