I see your point, totally, however isn't putting your car in your signature just as much as a "hey look at me"? (then again im sure someone will notice that all of my car pics are in a progress thread and in my profile and say the same thing)
main issue is that when you allow people to vote for themselves you get 100 votes with 100 diffrent cars because everyone votes for themselves. best to leave it as having others vote for you.
