H body, it was rear wheel drive for the first gen.
Lol I think you missed my joke, AITCH is how you pronounce "H", atleast thats the best way I could spell it...

Its pronounced jay body, and cavaliers never came with a 2.0 engine.....
LOL
It's J-Body, always has and always will be.
And my Sunbird had a 2.0 OHC in it, I bet they think that engine is make believe.
but a sunbird isn't a cavalier.... but there was a 2.0 OHV .... some GM Enthusiasts don't want to look at the 80s engines

Hey guys, Kyle(Speedline) gave me the link to this thread he started about whats going on over at GMSC. Sorry to see it got you guys all riled up, I assure you there is no disrespect meant. I simply took a little poetic(phonetic, maybe?) license and decided to spell out "Jay" for our J-body section. Didnt think it would have a polarizing effect like this. I only used the spelling in one place (not in every reference to the platform) and believe me I know why they are called J-bodies and even a good deal about the cars. Ive been as you may have guessed, a tech for a while now, and a huge GM fanboi my entire life (I am 34) Ive owned at least one of almost every generation and nameplate of J-body, including an '84 Turbo-T Skyhawk, and a 3.4L swapped 5spd '89 Z24 vert ( I also had a god awful J2000, a mint but unrunning Cimmaron, and more than one 1st gen Cavy wagon that I always wanted to make into a racecar when I was in highschool  I never had a Firenza but my sisted had a hatch )
I wasnt responsible for deleting threads (except for the ones in the aforementioned LSJ tuning section, which were deleted when I removed that section.) I fit makes you feel any better at one point there was an LSJ tuning section in every forum on the site,
this is my first time running a site and there were some glitches. When stuff gets brought to my attention it gets fixed though.
I hope we can all get along or at the very least you guys can stop making fun of me, LOL. Theres a couple guys (PJ for one)who have met me in real life and know I am a bigtime GM lover, and respect all the cars, and happen to know a thing or two as well. JBO has lots of great info for the J's and if you ever needed it I am sure youd see that my site has lots of info for much of the newer cars and in general can be a fun place to hang out.
Thanks,
Brad(Maven) owner of that other site.
