in a week or so im going to go get a intake for my 2000 sunfire 2.4L the one that goes right to the TB but every one says you have to block the egr is this true?
1- you don't have an Egr on your 00 2.4
2 - if it's only an intake (not an intake manifold) you don't have to do it but #1 cancel this one.

He's right. 98 was the last year for EGR in the J-car. Thank god. An intake is a great choice, and if you ever decide your intake manifold isn't good enough... the 2.3 HO intake manifold will work wonders for you.

i have the 98 2.4l and i got the egr . and i already bypssed it but im not sure if i should block it off completlly....what u think???

if you bypassed it, then there really isn't a whole lot of need to block it off completely. but i might ask, where did you pick up the EGR sim? Could you shoot me a PM regarding this please?

bah.....when i put my header on i had exhuast coming out of the front egr....but i have a 2001 motor lol.....

then you do not have EGR. the last j-cars to have EGR were some of the early 99 models still produced in 98
