just got back from a 250km drive, worked 100% till 6600rpm the whole night, WTF??

You said you were looking for another GM pump that would work. Does the Blazer pump have this problem?
PSN ID: Phatchance249
something is really weird, normally when I turn the car on, I here the pump flow easy, then hear it slow down as pressure builds, then it runs like crap, when I did it today, I could here the pump hit pressure, but it didn't slow down.. hmmm

I installed my new inline walbro 255 and my car runs 100%, that was the issue over the last year... arg, lol, all is good now,

Wait I'm confused. In this post you stated after the fix it was great. Now you say you installed a inline and it is great. How can it be great when you fix the fuel cut and great again??
What inline did you install? How pressure is it good for? I have a inline on the Reaper and it cuts out at 100psi.
FU Tuning
it worked good after the modded pump for about a day, then stopped again. I can bring the car down to empty now with no issues. But with the addition of the inline I can hold my 71psi to redline

so your in tank pump works great up till high RPM, and then you got the in line pump to finish the job at the top end...is that what i am hearing? Also, do you have more/better pics of you fix for the in tank pump?
Yah, basically in my situation at 5800rpm the engine just stopped revving.. My pump may be a little weak or the wiring insuffiecent, but either way it was not enough. I added the inline to "troubleshoot" and it infact was the solution, so I am looking at other methods, possibly a aeromotive and canister, or something, so I can remove the inline.. although it is perfectly quiet and it might wait a few months.. I am just super happy it finally runs good.
As for more pictures, I had a canon G2 that recently died on me, so those pics were taken with my phone and that was the best I had, I really wish I could have taken some really good pics, but thats all I had.

Are you up for making me one of these? I have the walbro 255 pump...i forget which number, but I dont have the time for messing with it to modify it to work perfectly....thanks to my manditory minimum 14 hours a week of overtime at my 1 job, plus I work another job......
that = no time to mess with sh*t....but I do like your solution.
I am moving to calgary in a couple days, so I have no extra time at this point either, if you still need it I could gladly do it for you in the future when I move out there and get settled in.

whats a rough eta on that....due to my schedule, i dont even have time to finish my project...so it might be sitting for a while..i could def. wait a couple weeks.
hit me up @ johnmbenham@verizon.net let me know
this is coming up in post lately, update -
I removed the inline, Hot wired the intank, no cut, no issues, has worked great for about 7 months now, it was bad wiring. The mod to the pump is pretty easy and painless. You can do it yourself or order the little kit mentioned.

What do you mean bad wiring? As in the wiring right at the pump or you cant use the stock wiring with the walbro?
the entire wiring to the pump was poor, whether it was the stock relay wsa old and worn out, or the small gauge wire used. I just used all new wire and a new relay. and used the stock wire as a trigger on the relay at the tank.

so your mod DID fix the cut out 100%? you just had some bad wiring?
"sometimes the respect is more important..."
the mod fixed the fuel cut, and the wiring fixed my voltage drop.

I got a walbro fuel pump from a dealer on ebay 2 weeks ago and the set up on top looks just like the stock pump. It has that little hole to the left like the stock pump in your picture.
do you have a part number for the pump you got hpcavy?
Here is the ebay item number #250123086037 This it the pump I bought and from this seller. If you need anymore info let me know..
There's a sticky on how to install it on a board my friend subscribes to... I believe it's on performance trucks.com (<-This is not a link!). They've manage to figure out how to install aftermarket in-tank pumps on GM plastic tanks no problem.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
^^^pics and part numbers please....
In the GTP's they were seeing as much as a 2V drop in voltage to the pump with the stock wiring. I would recommend running a relay directly off your battery to the fuel pump, it's the way I have mine run and I have never had any problems up to 6600rpm

He told me guys with 500-600 hp LS series engines are using a gerotor pump from Racetronix which has the right connections for the small tube to the jet pump. If you read the page it looks like this is the answer.

So will this pump work in a J car? I am guessing so due to GM's parts bin mentality.

It will if you follow the installation mods necessary for it in the sticky I've mentioned. And, oh... Sorry if the address leads you somewhere else, as it's the address my friend refered me to.
