I'm working on a LN2 crank pulley, L61 trigger wheel crank pulley, and a LG0 "HO" sized crank pulley. The local machine shops are REALLY busy, so I might try for one BIG Group Purchase for all three at once.....thoughts? Looking for sometime in February.

This is my recommendation. Which is very similar to RKSport, RSM, Unorthadox Racing, Apex Racing, and Custom Car Grillz pulleys procedures. I believe they all copied Unorthadox racing's procedure.

Aluminum Pulley Manufactures, Revised by Michael Davis wrote:
Installation Procedure for New Aluminum Crank Pulley
Refer to a Hayes, Cilton, or Factory Service Manual for proper & safe removal procedures.

1. Inspect Front crankshaft pulley seal for signs or wear. Replace if seal if hard or brittle. Please refer to a service manual for proper install procedures.

2. Lubricate the front seal and the sealing surface of the pulley with chassis Grease GM P/N 1051344 or equivalent.

3. Install the pulley onto the crankshaft indexing keyway. Tap into place using a rubber or sand filled mallet.

4. Hand tighten the remaining bolt and the washer.

5. Tighten the bolt to 80 ft-lbs. / 108.1 NM while using J 38122, Crankshaft Pulley Holder, to prevent crankshaft rotation. Put a mark on the socket next to one of the four marks on J 38122. This mark will represent the 0 degree mark.

Then further tighten the bolt by rotating the 27mm socket in a clockwise rotation 90 additional degrees. At 90 degrees the socket will index with the next mark on the J 38122 tool.

Recheck bolt torque after driving 5-10 miles. If bolt is loose re-torque, and recheck after driving 5-10 miles. Then ensure the bolt is still tight after driving an additional 25 miles.

This sequence should not need to be done more than once. If the bolt loosens after driving the last 25 miles, purchase a new bolt GM P/N 22531863 and washer GM P/N 22538202, and inspect all mating surfaces for burs or foreign debris. If new bolt and washer are purchased, start over at step one.

Enjoy!

So this pulley is much stronger than my normal LD9 crank pulley. Since it is so much smaller. WAY less stress on it. Keyway is still the first thing to fail at 1000 times normal stresses. I'm kind of really proud about this one.

Also should be just under 18 Ounces...according to SolidWorks.

I believe the one ebay pulley I use to have was like 14 ounces.

Regardless Md does great work. Finally got a Alternator pulley of his. just need to install it now.

Ok so I wanted to post a little more info.....Since i have been getting a lot of questions about this with my group purchase coming up on the LG0 sized crank and over driven alternator pulley for the LD9. "The alternator pulley will fit all 95-05 j-bodies."

A stock crank pulley working diameter is 6.406".
A stock alternator pulley working diameter is 2.208".

My over driven ld9 crank pulley working diameter is 7.000"
My LG0 crank pulley working diameter is 5.180"
My over driven alternator pulley working diameter is 1.818"

Some easy calculation time.

So lets say red line is 6,500 RPM, stock crank and alternator pulley.
With a stock crank pulley rotating at 6,500 rpm, the alternator pulley would be rotating at 18,858 RPM.
Example. 6500 rpm x 6.406" = 41639 / 2.208" = 18,858.243 RPM.

So lets say red line is 6,500 RPM, LG0 sized crank and my over driven alternator pulley.
With a LG0 crank pulley rotating at 6,500 rpm, the alternator pulley would be rotating at 18,520 RPM.
Example. 6500 rpm x 5.180" = 33670 / 1.818" = 18,520.352 RPM.

So lets say red line is 6,500 RPM, over driven crank and my over driven alternator pulley.
With a over driven crank pulley rotating at 6,500 rpm, the alternator pulley would be rotating at 25,027 RPM.
Example. 6500 rpm x 7.000" = 45500 / 1.818" = 25,027.503 RPM.

So lets say red line is 6,500 RPM, LG0 crank and stock diameter alternator pulley.
With a LG0 crank pulley rotating at 6,500 rpm, the alternator pulley would be rotating at 15,249 RPM.
Example. 6500 rpm x 5.180" = 33670 / 2.208" = 15,249.094 RPM.

Please someone check my numbers.

The Supercharger formula that was posted....which is the same thing as mine, but organized different.
Top from boost forum & Bottom is my formula.
Crank Pulley diameter 6.406" / Supercharger pulley size 2.7" = 2.373 X engine Red line 6,500 = 15421.852 RPM
Red line 6500 x crank pulley diameter 6.406" = 41639 / super charger pulley size 2.7" = 15421.852 RPM

Over Driven Alternator pulley. 2.25 Ounces according to SoildWorks. This is the smallest diameter that a 15/16" x 1/2" drive impact socket will fit over.

So how much just for the undersized alternator pulley of .75 ounces lighter than your older hard coated stock sized I have?

I will have to weigh my Unorthodox Racing pulley. I think it is 13 or 14 oz too

Prices are looking to be about.....for the group purchase.
This is for the LG0 sized crank and smallest alternator pulley I can make.
This was verbal, and may change slightly since the machine shop guessed on the material cost since they haven't received their quotes back. This should be 90-95% correct.

10 sets = $180 plus shipping.
15 sets = $165 plus shipping.
25 sets = $145 plus shipping.
50 sets = $125 plus shipping.

This is GREAT pricing.

Still going to be able to do stock sized light weight alternator pulleys by them selves this time around?
