Motor Swap For 98 Cavi, Easiest swap with auto trans

Hi guys,

I have 98 that i cant let go for some reason... I have the 2.2L with auto 3 speed trans just rebuilt trans looking for more power. Also looking for the easiest swap that will retain my ECM and A/C.

Can i go with the 94-95 quad 4 HO, what about the ECM and trans connections , is a/c compressor on the same side.

Or should i go with LD9 96-00 since its setup for OBD II ...can i keep the trans, what side is the A/c Compressor, do i need new ECM for trans or fuel control. I was considering the 94-95 b/c its rated 190 out the box. If i go with the LD9 and have to build from a core what do you recommend that gives most bang for your buck .....looking for 210 ish hp

Thanks

210 ish horsepower bolted in, ish.. 3400 v6 swap. very fun swap, and maybe possible to reuse your existing 3 speed, but why not take advantage of the 4l65e and 4 gears.

for the 3 speed trans I do not know if there is a swap other than the motor you have.

LD9, Ecotec, and OHV all have different bell housing bolt patterns.
