First off, my mistake about the 2.2, I don't know much about them, never really needed too, and I've seen it refered to as a "SOHC" before. My bad.

So, why don't you just pick up a Z24 instead of the entire swap? Better get pick up a 02 LSS or 03+ with an Eco.

im gettin the engine and tranny really cheap and i figure its goin in a parts car so it seems like a good idea. i plan on gettin a cav with an eco. lookin for a 02 but if i cant find one then ill look into the 03-05 ecos. i should have an eco before the summer though

Will $700 be enough? I'll do anything for a old rusty set of hinges that come with bad shocks!!

I've seen them... the rust is surface rust, get some sandpaper and boom all done... Plus the shocks are fine as well, I checked everything out when he was here getting some of the parts..

lol seriously how much are you wanting for those used hinges...

and the shock weight is recommended 800lbs fyi.. anything under 800 is not good.

actually i have 720 lb hinges on my car and these hinges are 750. my hinges hold up amazingly and im sure they will last the life of the car so i dont see why these hinges wouldnt hold up better. im looking for a trade or 250 for them.

true that. the hinges on scotts car are very very nice. and if these glide hinges hold up even more weight then they will be amazing. id buy em if i had a 2 door.
