the info is current as shown with the magazine covers, not something from 5 years ago...

Good, I was thinking of replacing my old 215/45R17 tires with the 225/45R17 size. Lets just hope there's no rubbing after I install my Konis and Sportlines

Thanks for the info!

I wasn't going to argue with the book... but there are other offsets that work besides 40mm.

Excellent information Event! I particularly like the hub bore info. For anyone looking to put on other manufacturers OEM wheels (like my PT Cruiser rims), you can use this to have the rims modified. I had to have mine bored out a little (just had them take off about 2mm of surface because I didn't know the exact spec) to fit. Chrysler uses a slightly smaller hub on their 5x100 bolt pattern cars.
However, I would throw in that a good setup on our cars (and a lot of others) is to have a 10mm lower offset on the rears (to keep them from looking more tucked than the fronts). A lot of wheel companies only make each wheel in each bolt pattern with one offset, but some offer two or more offsets. I have seen quite a few available in 35 and 45 mm offsets on the same rims. If they are not too wide, this works very well for a balanced fit. The only issue is that rotating tires isn't quite as simple when you do this.
My old vehicle I had this type setup, and it both looked and drove well.

K well the rims I'm looking at are 18x7.5 with a 45mm offset, the company says they will fit, but will they?
