It actually isn't that hard--takes me about 1-2 hours per valve cover.

hmmm so in short, sand it alot, buff it, then polish it... doesnt seem like it would take a long long time
ya the valve cover doesn't take that long, but the alternator took me most of the day and it's still not that good, anyways nice job on it, I'm going to have to do mine a little better this spring. It just isn't shiney enough yet
