Yeah I'm aware of that, but even when you cut off the lip, I think the contour of the bumper may be slightly different where it had the lip. Which may have made it harder, idk.

Whatever, I have the kit. I've installed the kit, and I too am a perfectionist. How come I had only one small issue? I've been on this forum for a long time now and saw all his posts, from when he got it, til he sold it.

Its not near as bad as he says, JUST the little it sticks out where it meets the fenders, thats IT! But what do I know? Darkstars said it, so now its set in stone that this front doesn't fit. Its the nature of the forum flock. I was just trying to dispell the rumors. In the end it doesn't matter, think what you want. You can't get these anymore, so it doesn't matter to many people anyway. Only the few who actually have them.

The only issue with it physically fitting the car is where it meets the fenders.... maybe its just me but I think it looks liek @!#$ when you can see a stock bumper through every single opening in the bumper... that was my issue. If you just throw it on it looks liek @!#$... the cover only goes in about an inch or to around all the openings becasue every single opening wraps around stock stuff.... it looks @!#$ retarded when the center grill by the emblem you can plainly see 2 layers of bumpers plus the factory rectanglular grill sections and even worse there is nothing to mount the new cross bar piece... there are no tabs or clips or anything... you basically glue it on or tape it to the stock piece which again looks liek @!#$ when theres a bumper whoing through... same thing in the big center opening, and where the fog light area is. You can slap it on and work out the fitment by the issues without out to much of a hassle.... doesn't mean its gonna look good. Its a very stupid, cheap design especially for the GM prices and being a piece sold through GM.

Thank you... primer pics as soon as i upload them...

These are my new choices to paint the hood since they had to primer over a little more than i expected. plus i want it to look different than ryans. im leaning toward this one. they are just quick microsoft paint quickies but i like this one more so far.

painted at the bottom of the part of the hood that sticks out.

this one goes right down the peak of the vent on the hood.

Primer Pics...

I have the RK filler panel and i like that so im keeping it on there so no point to rid the lock. plus i look at it as manual woks 99% of the time. so there are many times that i open the trunk with the key.

Looks good I would go with the first pic of the hood being painted. Would look kinda strange all the way up the scoop. Making great progress though keep it up and keep us updated!

the car is my daily driver and im gonna go with leaving it like it is, in the event of maybe selling it some day. plus i just couldnt afford to do it. call me old fashioned but i like the locks and handles. granted smooth looks good but just isnt conventional for me. but thanks for the comments though.

Hey progress is great but man that is a light shade of graphite. I don't know if you used the same paint as I did but my graphite was really dark on my wheels. None the less keep up the work and updates!

I payed in full CASH, before they shipped.

I will be calling ABF tomorrow as well, to make sure this gets straightened out for you. Haven't had any other problems with them, I've even sent a bumper to an org member in Canada.

Kyle 05xtreme please let me know if you had any trouble picking up your package at the terminal.

Thanks,

-Travis
