You need a filter relocation kit for an LT1... it's the only engine that shares the same thread pitch as the LD9
Are you sure? I use to run a PF61 oil filter and thought it was also used on the 4.3 vortec motors. I could be wrong on this.

I know a local had an oil cooler from a LT1 camaro and it fit his twin cam fine.
No idea on year though.

I wish it was assembled but it is not. I just assembled everything empty for the pic ( no cams, lifters, or timing pieces )

I have a 4.3 in my 96 K1500, it uses a PF47 or PF52. I think the PF61 was used on the 4.2L I6, but I might be mistaken.
Also the PF46 is used on the LS based engines in some applications.

just found the PF46 is used on the 5.3, but guys also use the PF61, and now they have PF46e and PF61e's as well. I have yet to find the "e's" locally yet.

Not much going on, or free time for that matter
I picked up the transmission from the shop about a month ago. Just FYI.....Yes you can swap the bell housing from an Eco to a LD9, but the OBX and Quaife will rub the LD9 housing. I had to have mine machined for clearance like CursedCav did. ( Expensive lesson to learn )
I removed the front bumper so I can mockup the intercooler ( intercooler is not centered yet )
Bumper off
Damn....Fog lights are in the way
Fog lights removed
Now I have to cut the front license plate out ( Brad, you cannot get the fill plate,
). Hopefully I can do that this weekend

I have an intercooler that will allow you to keep your fogs. Package deal with the wiring harness?
im with darren, i believe in keeping the fogs man.
and damn you i need a cayenne filler yet!!!! LOL

Why do you have to cut the plate out of the bumper?
I would never do that.

I have to do it because the majority of the intercooler is behind the front plate. I could change to a 00-02 front bumper and headlights then nothing gets cut and full airflow to the intercooler, but I really wasn't planning on it

Nice progress.....as for the cutting...DO IT! I think it will look great seeing a intercooler throught that hole. But do it only if the intercooler covers up the WHOLE hole.
And i probably missed this but how do you plan to tune it?
GMR has got nothing on this
I think flow to the intercooler will be just fine without cutting it.I think cutting that plate out just kills the great look of that Z24 bumper.
FU Tuning
Even though im all for showing the entire IC behind the bumper, I wouldnt cut that Z bumper either.

Kramer "There is no WAY you could get me to cut!!"
Elaine "Really? Because I cut all the time and get a lot of compliments on it."
George "I'm with Kramer on this one. I tried to cut once and almost passed out from stress."
Elaine "You didn't cut? Well then that's one small-"
George "I WAS IN THE POOL!!! THE WATER WAS VERY COLD!!!"
Jerry "Boys - BOYS! Let's try to settle this in a civilized manner. Kramer is a no cut - is that right?"
Kramer "Giddyup!"
Jerry "Alright. I personally have never been comfortable with the cut, not that there is anything wrong with it."
Elaine "Exactly. We cannot judge a person on their cut / no cut status. It's immoral."
Jerry "Here we go..."
Kramer "Ah ah ah! No fighting! So that's 3 no cuts and 1 cut."
George "I shouldn't have to tip if I just got a glass of milk, should I?"
Kramer "What? Of course you tip! If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times George - cheapness is NOT a sense!"
Jerry "Alright that's enough for me. Don't cut."
Elaine *thinking to self* "Is this really what my life has become? Debating to cut a bumper with a bunch of man-children? I need new friends. I need direction. I need to focus on a GT35r...."
George "Does anybody have change for a quarter?...."
