First Adam's Detail On The Turbo Cavalier
Tuesday, September 18, 2012 5:26 PM
Got back from the car sitting outside for a few days covered before I could get my alignment done and it rained so of course it was dirty. Not to mention the 300 miles in the fog/rain it wasn't much better. Figured it was time for my first Adam's detail.

Only thing left for the car is a tune. Waiting on my tuner's schedule to free up and hope to hit the track ASAP.

Product/Supplies/Order
Gilmour Foam Gun w/ Strip wash mix(I know, nozzle is not made in USA )
2 Bucket wash w/ Adam's Shampoo
Dried with Great White drying towels and Detail Spray
Baggie Test proved that claybar was not needed or Fine Hand Polish
Adam's Quick Sealant
Brilliant Glaze
Americana Wax
SVRT on the Rims and Tires.

Bear with me on the pictures please... Forgot to mess with my polaizer for most of the pictures.

Love what the SVRT did to my matte black wheels, not to mention I love me some wilwood big brakes!

Hard to tell but I painted my headlights black instead of chrome...

5th Gen Camaro exhaust tip

Better pic of headlights/front mount/ and part of the hella supertones

Gauge setup w/ cutout button

Engine bay

Custom B-fab coolant tank with sight gauge

Sun came out for about 5 minutes

Shows the shine

One of my favorite angles

Before SVRT on wheels and tires

MUCH improved after

Comments/Criticism?

Thanks guys. I might work on the interior tomorrow. Its dirty and dusty from sitting for so long. Needs some major attention.

Winter plans are:
Harness bar
Rear Wilwood Brakes
Recover seats/door panels/headliner, all to match
Wedding ring
Re-tint the back windows to 35%
Carpet/clean up the trunk
SMALL clean audio system

so fresh and so clean, clean.

love it man. ONLY thing i can think of that wouldnt be my taste would the 1/4 window decals. be neat to get black decals on there instead of the white. cant see em in pics really but up close you still get to show em. but you know its just my opinion. such a clean and well taken car of car. great job on the detail man.

I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.

They both might be going away soon anyway. Just to clean it all up. I will however be putting a Bfab sticker either on my coolant tank, or the intake manifold, not sure yet how either will look, and 100% for sure putting one of his stickers on the back window of the car... not sure if it will go above Ryan's or where to put it yet.

Looks great, as always!
i

That really cleaned up the tires and wheels well! Think it will do the same for my tires and wheel covers? I'm impressed with that stuff....

It depends. Assuming the wheel covers are plastic? To get the tires right you have to start with hitting them with their all purpose cleaner and scrubbing the daylights out of them to get them back down to rubber instead of the silicone based dressings that were on there. This is a pic of my truck tire but my cars tires looked the same.

Then you hit them with the SVRT which doesnt give it a super shine, more or less a shine but semi-dull. Zero sling of this stuff unless you pour it on. It only takes a little bit to go a long way.

here is a picture of the smaller half of my kit that I bought... It gets expensive with them fast but so far none of their products or their companies 110% guarantee has not failed me either.

add another dozen towels, a FLEX polisher with all the pads and polishes, 2 other gallon jugs which include the all purpose cleaner and waterless wash and half a dozen more applicators.
