Well the cavy is ready, again. Got the new alternator on, plugs changed, a heatshield made, ignition coil capacitor installed, zip ties and vents on the cv boots, and the car rolled onto the dyno rack. Rick is gonna start on it tomorrow pm.

Hopefully nothing else completely bonkers goes wrong tomorrow.

Rock on, I've got plans Saturday evening but I believe I'm free during the day. Either way I'll let you borrow my GoPro.

So do we get dyno #'s this time?

Yes, Im still waiting myself.

Between a couple trigger issues, schedules, and the gd rain, things are behind.

Last I heard the trigger issues have been worked out and he just needs to do the WOT tuning. All part throttle fuel is done.

Im hoping for some good news today or tomorrow.

Rick finally worked through some issues and was able to get a few wot pulls done. This was where he stopped at 11psi tonight, sounds like there is still some power left to be had. It was still climing with timing at 25degs.

More to come.

Hoping for like 350 obserbed on the Land and Sea dyno. I just dont see 400 observed happening on that roll.

not bad considering you more than doubled the stock hp & torque rating.

Well Rick finished up tonight. Im finally out of fuel, so this is it.

Picking it up tomorrow am. I cant fn wait.

The numbers are great, but the powerband is what really impresses me! Most of the eco's on this site don't have that kind of flat power that high in the RPM range. Guess it's loving that custom cam and solid lifter setup, eh? Which leads to my next question: why stop so low RPM-wise? I'd have thought that build could easily get up to 7500+ without risking the valvetrain...

i have an eco and wouldnt want that power curve... ALL top end, it has nothing under 4000.... impressive car none the less.

very nice! dont see too many OHV's up that high....

what fuel was used?

100% duty cycle? time for larger injectors, more RPM and more BOOST!

100tq at 2000rpm is plenty to lug a 2400lb car around, I've been in the car lugging up hills in 5th before it was tuned, it gives no @!#$.

So far I cant figure out why I am out of injector, its not really adding up.

80lb/hr Siemens injectors
50psi base fuel pressure
93 octane

I think part of it is due to the gd alternator shutting off at like 4k rpms. Im going to setup MS to log fuel pressure tonight. Hopefully I can at least verify the pressure is what it should be then.

I figured I could run this thing to 7k rpms, and in fact, most of the dyno log files go out to 7k. Im just not sure why the one plot is only to 6400. Unfortunately I just couldnt be there for the tuning. Also, to be honest, I need stiffer valve springs. Comp thinks I would be safe to about 7k. Id like to have some more margin before I really push it. Finally without more injector I cant run more boost at the higher rpm.

The turbo is a 50 trim with a 0.48 hot side. I think it might be GT time. Id LOVE to move tq peak down by 500 rpms and move hp peak out to 7k, and try to flatten out the tq some.

But for now, it is what it is. I just need to track down the voltage and fueling issue. Who knows maybee Ill get on the roll one more time before snow flies.

yeah find out what your fuel pressure is under boost. That could explain a lot.

Dan, if you need to drill and tap a hole in your fuel rail just let me know.

The numbers look awesome, I cant wait to see it again
