She's alive, first startup after sitting for years. Started up first shot without hesitation. I want to do some cams when she is finally drivable. Exhaust pipe is about 5-6 feet total length from turbo to the tips..

That sounds REALLY good. Cant wait to see how you clean up that exhaust hole...
Interior harness is almost complete.
Need to add some heat shrink over the terminals so that they are not bare.
The factory car harness down to the bare minimum. Just need to clean up some of the wires.
Finally mounted the steering rack. Quite a bit of steering angle. A little further and the wheel would be hitting the rack.
Here is Mark I shifter assembly. It functions just fine, but it could have a lot cleaner of a look to it. Would like for all of it to be made from aluminum instead of using some of the factory plastic parts.

Front end braces are in place, temporary need to cross brace them to eliminate flex.
Working on the front bumper support/crash bar today. I bent the tubing yesterday, just need to notch some pieces for it then a way to secure the bumper to it, quick fasteners.
Someone asked about my truck earlier in this thread. I happen to park next to a factory single cab the other day, so heres the height difference now. Once I finish the car, this will get another 3" drop in the rear and 6" in the front.

Just ordered the parts for all of my brake lines, hydra hand brake, and the eastwood pro brake flare tool. Everything should be here by next weekend. Just one step closer to getting this thing on the road, need more hands and time in the garage to get this thing finished soon.

Yes, but its just flat 1/4' aluminum plate welded to the pipe and the shifter/hand brake bolts to the plate. The coolant pipes are bolted to the frame so they dont move/flex and the coolant pipes are 3/16" thick, so they will be able to sustain the stress.

Had to make a new oil inlet port for the turbo. Its welded flat on the other end with a small hole I drilled through. It was getting too much oil pressure at the turbo, pushing it through the exhaust housing. It was orginally a -4 fitting, now it's about 0.02 of an inch. Can always drill a larger hole if needed. I need more TIG practice anyway.
