Yeah I've heard of that combination potentially working well together. But I'm gonna go with a different route mainly to clear my wheels I already have, and low weight. I'm gonna go with Grand Am/Alero aluminum arms, Mr. Quick spindles, Celica GT rotors, and Grand Am GT calipers/brackets. It will be the lightest weight combination I can come up with, while maintaining easy parts availability and will clear my rims I already have.

Yup. That's what I am running with. Unless I can find an awesome deal on some ultra lightweight 17's or so that I like, I am gonna stick with these.

Bunch of new parts waiting to go in!!!! Betcha can't guess what all this stuff is!

I will also be measuring the weight differences between stock and NWF parts to give everyone an idea of how much of a difference the swap makes as far as unsprung weight. Plus maybe a few more special suspension weaks to really make my car stand out. Stay tuned....

Yeah. I dont have the patience to wait for the Mr. Quick spindles right now. Plus the N-Body cv's are stronger than the stock N
J ones. There will be a couple other things i will be doing that if they work out should make a huge difference in handling and overall drivability.

Making my hybrid axles right now. Doing something a bit different from the norm. Any guesses as to what's going on???

Stock J passenger axle

Partial N body axle

Getting everything cleaned up!

J axle shaft ready for the N body CV.

Comparison of stock J outer CV to the larger splined N body CV

Hybrid axle is complete!!!

hmmm.... did you put all those teeny needle bearings back into the cv joint? i accidentally tore my axle apart at the joint on my 5spd because it simply would not come out of my isuzu. took everything down to the trans shop for them to put the axle back together (it was a very low mileage unit i had bought brand new and wanted it back lol) and he looked at me like um no that cannot be put back together because i didnt have all those round needle bearings apparently. so thats why i ask....

as far as the rims go, i like them, but IMO to pull that design off properly the car needs to be much lower and the rim size needs to be at least 18" but i get why u didnt go large on them, weight is a mofo!

gettin there man. love the nice clean brakes. love how clean the car is. now do something about that exhaust.

It's nice to be injected but I love being blown.

Z yaaaa: No, I didn't use the inner axle shaft on m y hybrids, just the outer. There are no needle bearings in the outer CV's, just ball bearings. What's wrong with my exhaust???

Anyways, alot more work was accomplished tonight!!!

Control arms were blasted and coated. New polyurethane bushings were installed.

Subframe and spindles are out of the way for now.

And my jackshaft is mocked up in place. By this time tomorrow, I should have my final mounting of the shaft finished. And as far as I know, I'll be the only 03+/Eco/Getrag J car with an intermediate shaft installed. And it is further modified with the hybrid N/J CV shafts.

Just a *little* bit of a size difference dont ya think???
