The replacement for my 03 coupe.

It's been a bit over 2 years since I bought this thing, but I am finally starting to assemble it.

2 years ago, fresh from DF.

Getting a few ideas.

Mocking up the Saab F40.

At a fab shop getting the PVC turned into steel.

The F40 fits now.

2 Mishimoto Kawasaki KFX 700 radiators are going to be used for heat exchangers.

Back home and painted with Steel-it. Strat81 dropped by to help.

How it is currently.

Cheap set of wheels/tire to move it around on and currently figuring out a 2 piece rotor setup for the Cobalt SS/TC front Brembos.

What is it? It is a DF Goblin(chassis #88, if anyone cares). It uses a Cobalt as a donor. My build plans are:
My built L61 with the TVS and possible nitrous with MS3 Pro to control it all.
Saab F40 6-speed manual transmission. CBM is currently looking at making a custom flywheel for me.
Full Radium Engineering fuel system. FCST is sitting on the shelf and a custom fuel tank is getting made soon.
Brembos and 2 piece rotors on all 4 corners. Wilwood pedal box. Manual brakes/steering.
Tons of carbon fiber.

In the end it should be ~1,700lbs(without me in it) and 400+whp(without nitrous). I didn't buy a Cobalt donor car because I am not using the main parts from a Cobalt. I do regret that decision a bit.

No. It is currently too cold to work in an unheated garage where I live, plus I also ran out of spare cash for the project.

I know of a donor cobalt without motor/trans that may help you out if you still need other things. Let me know if that interests you. I can get you in touch with him. He's a good dude. Plus then you'd have to have beers with me in Massachusetts.

The only things that I have left to spend money one are custom "racecar" parts so I don't need a donor. Thanks anyway.
