Hence my encouragement for him to sell it/trade to you.

I'm not disappointed one bit with that move.

I have called 3 pontiac dealers here in PHX, and all three said that there are a few complete kits out there. but that most places wont order becuase of outrageous prices and shipping. and that since it would be a custom order, they dont want to order it then have the person change their mind.

Andy,
does the kit come with the front splitters? and also do u have pics of the rear and side of the kit?

No the kit doesn't come with the front splitter. It is just a three piece front lip. If you want pictures of the rear and sides google "sunfire autocross". The autocross concept had pretty much the same sides and rear as the accessories lip kit.

I have been lurking in this thread for a while now. Now I thought I would help out with a bit of info that I have.
According to GM direct the complete ground effect lip kit is no longer available part # 12499747
Front fascia lip part# 12499744 is still available.
Rear fascia lip part #12499745 is also available.

While doing in deep research for this Fascia lip kit, a parts dept employee from a Texas Pontiac dealership directed me to vpartsinc.com http://vpartsinc.com/ (this is a vintage car parts website for all kinds of makes and models). Without registering an account, you will be unable to view prices. I registered and found the following….
Part # 12499747 – Complete ground effects $1,854.29 == Qty in stock 10
Part # 12499744 – Front fascia lip $665.40 == Qty in stock 10
Part # 12499745 – Rear fascia lip $389.20 == Qty in stock 10
Outrages prices if you ask me.

The very nice and helpful man at this Pontiac Dealership has been able to find a front fascia lip kit for $570. Ready for pick up Monday afternoon, if ordered today Saturday 04/12. He stated I would have to pay for the fascia lip before he can order it.

Those prices are quite inflated. The full kit used to only cost roughly $1400 from GM. FYI originally GM offered the front fascia for about $537 painted-to-match your car. If you are getting it through the dealer I would question if the $570 price is for a raw front lip because originally GM offered them painted and raw.

very true yet GMPartsDirect offers the parts for less. Granted they are still in stock. I am looking into it with another GM dealer and about the Autocross spoiler that used to be for sale as well. GM Part # 12499746 But I want to see if a GM tech can confirm this, though I think $400 is a little much for the OEM spoiler seeing as how there are spoilers offered at $135 I can only assume that this is the Autocross spoiler unless confirmed otherwise.

I dug up the original parts paper I had when I got my fire back in '04 and apparently the Autocross spoiler was sold as well to tie into the lip kit. Essentially the complete Autocross "concept kit" minus the vents and projectors. I would like to be the first to have everything, but I thought I would share this bit of information.

Those prices for the front and rear are both almost 100 bucks over the price that henry brown pontiac gave me out here in the PHX...all the rest of the info looks good though....good research....from my understanding, there are a TOTAL of 20 kits still out there...10 complete ready for sale and 10 ready to be bought as pieces..

I found this site.... PontiacPartsPeople.com

http://pontiacpartspeople.com/cartshow.asp?return=&now=4%2F14%2F2008+11%3A27%3A57+AM

Complete Ground Effects $1,191.19 + $38.95 Ground Shipping = $1,230.14

He means the PontiacPartsPeople website doesn't show the part #s so how can you be sure that it is in fact the same kit? The more people that have or plan on getting this kit the more I lose interest in it.
