Its obvious peopel havent read the thread......the guy didnt care about how much it cost but it was a friend of a friend that does cars. They were trying to do the owner of the shop a favor and let him paint the kit and get his name out there. Although he did have a slightly questonable past. The owner didnt care about the price and the price was a low.."buddy" deal. Then once they actually seen the parts he said the price was $750. The owner willingly paid that. Yes he should have researched the shop a little more or took it to a more reputable shop but he wasnt cheaping out.

I think its crap how the owner of the shop even thought that was allowed. Totally ruined a nice car.

Thats what I thoght at first. I thought.. he cheaped out so thats what you get.

But seeing as he was being a good guy and helping get a name out... well, I honeslty don't know what would compell anyone to use screws on a body kit...

Sucks but so is life, press a civil suit, bank, and do it right.

^^Yah he took his car to a reputable shop and is gettign it fixed...roughly $4500. That includes all new bumpers, new name brand kit, repairing the door, fixed the screw holes ect. He is charging mike the guy that did the "work" since he really destroyed the car.

Yeah, he's a complete douche bag for buying a BS kit and taking it to a BS shop. End of story, he got what he payed for on both ends of the deal. I actually feel like I want to sue him for that part of my life I lost listening to him cry about his car that HE screwed up......you can't tell me there wasn't enough red flags waving in front of his face. If they would have gotten any close-er they would have beat the living crap out of him while waving in the wind. Then he wants to cry about it in a blog style vent.....ugh....he needs to save the world his torment and STFU.

friends don't let friends do bodywork! you get what you pay for, lesson learned!

Thats an ignorant statement. Used 350z's because the 300 hasn't been made for years can be had used for 20K and under.

OMG you're alive!!! How's it goin? And thanks!

It's NORMALLY true that you get what you pay for, but it helps if you know the person that is "giving you a deal". If it's someone that takes pride in their work, ok. If they don't, then you've just screwed yourself (pun intended?). Moral of the story, when paying for any work, do your research.
