will the tails from a 2002 cav fit on a 1999? I painted mine and did a crappy job, and someone has some '02 lights they're selling pretty cheap...

lol...I should have said, will a set of 2002 trunk lid lights match up with the 1998 brake light lenses? I just want to change my back up lights and leave the brake lights.

okay, i think were onto something. are you trying to change the inners only and leave the outers.

if so, it'd look off a bit. the 00-02 are very reflective.

trust me, i have them

95-96 are different from 97-99.... and 00-02 are different, and then the 03-05 are different yet....

They all still fit though. I put my 97 cav outers on my 2002 sunfire. looked weird with the trunk. so I replaced the whole trunk a few days later for my 97 cav trunk. now I have 2 third brake lights.

yes, but they won't match with any inner tails besides the 03+ bezel.
