SUPERCHARGED CAVALIER Z-24 COMBINES PERFORMANCE AND STYLE

Start off with something already very good. Improve upon it and the result is something spectacular. In this case, begin with the Chevrolet Cavalier Ecotec 2.2-liter engine. Add a supercharger and the result is a fire-spitting, 262-horsepower sport sedan.

The horsepower boost was achieved by incorporating a Roots-type supercharger with liquid-air charge cooling. Cavalier Z-24 also features forged aluminum pistons with a 6.5cc dish to obtain its 9.0:1 compression, as well as titanium connecting rods.

To ensure a smooth, sporty, ride, the supercharged Cavalier Z-24 displayed at the 2002 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show features a MacPherson-type independent front suspension, while four-wheel disc brakes with ABS ensure safe stops.

So, where would you take such a radical Cavalier? Cruising, of course. Invite four of your best friends and step inside. You're sure to get a lot of looks, thanks to the Nippon tri-stage Metallic Red exterior paint and a car that rides 1¾ inches lower than a production model.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to have the TOYO Proxes T1-S P235/35ZR-19 tires mounted on Axis-Hagen 19-inch, five-spoke aluminum wheels. The already-large wheels and tires fill the wheel housing completely.

Beauty? Brawn? Both can co-exist harmoniously in the Chevrolet Cavalier Z-24.
