Naw, my dinner is at the Olive Garden! This is from my buddy Omar and his parents because we were there to help him when he crashed on speedway.
For a vehicle to be exempt from emissions, it must be a:
Model year 1966 or older,
All Wheel drive diesel,
Currently 2002 and newer (next year 2002's will have to be emissioned),
and out of county registration.
I don't recommend out of county reg. because if you get caught, it's a heafty fine!
I'll definatly help you with those mounts! I feel like a seasoned 2.2 Jbody mechanic. Now the next thing I have to do is put in my tranny mounts and build a new head!

build a new head? is yours messed up now, or oyu just building one up to throw on there. i almost traded the cav in tonight, but needed 2g to put down. was gonna get a 06 cobalt 2.4 ss, that thing was sweet. it was gonna be the 2.4 cus the s/c are stick only, and the wife needs to be able to drive it. we're gonne be picking up a 94 plymouth (sp?) voyager for cheap for the family vehicle. i was just wondering on the oldest to be except as i'm thinking on grabbing a 74 dodge pick up, it's the 1 ton 9000 camper deluxe, rwd. oh wel, might still grab it.

you got a car with a 5spd i could borrow to teach her in? i wouldn't teach her with a new car. if it was older and was gonna need to replace the clutch soon anyways, then i would. oh well. the 2.4 auto was till fun to drive.

Ouch Rey...where'd you get caught?

Chris....I have a friend that's got an old Honda CRX that's stick that he used to teach people how to drive manual. Only problems are.....it's not registered nor insured anymore. It still runs, but as I said....he only uses that to teach people how to drive standard vehicles before they go out and buy their own.

I don't the status of the emissions on it anymore.....I know he still has it, but it hasn't been on the road (legally) for over 2 years. I don't know if he's willing to sell it, but I'll look into it.

Update: Tokico D-Spec and TenzoR springs on their way!!!
Re: Tucson J's III

Yeah! I just installed my front and rear tranny mounts yesterday, and what a difference in torque! That was the single most effective mod that works just like the upper motor insert and the lower motor mount! Awesome stuff, I have to be careful with launching now, because the tires will spin more from a dig! Man the front end comes up higher now with these mounts!
Got my new ADR Sokudo wheels, they are 17". Was thinking of going 18" but decided that I have three good 205/40/17's lying around on some other 17's with two cracked wheels! Yeah Ian, one of the tires has outer sidewall damage, It's weird how it has this tire has such an unusual sidewall damage. No worries though, my friend is helping me mount and balance these tires and wheels and he's going to help me find a 205/40/17.
Now to the truck. I know that most have not seen it since the last time..........well I don't remember, but I know that Ian hasn't seen it. What I want you guys to know is that I finally got some wheels for my truck! I got Centerline Stingray III's for my truck all on a 245/45/18! Yes finally my truck is coming together! Stupid fact: These tires are rated for a maximum speed of 300km/h!

Get this....I ordered TenzoR springs and Tokico DSpec1 struts on eBay. The springs came in, but the people who sold me the struts sold the item to a customer not realizing that I won them on eBay until after they had sold it. Looks like they didn't look at their eBay sales before they had sold it. What sucks is, they have to wait for Tokico to send them a set of struts before they can send them to me. They didn't give me a specific time so I might be waiting forever for them. I could ask for my money back and order them from somebody else that has them for the same price but further away. But that might work to my advantage cause at least they have them. What do you think? Should I get my money back and order them from somebody else? Wait until the company I got them from gets them? Should I leave the company who sold me something they didn't have a negative feedback???

I would ask for my money back, leave a neutral reefback score for their lack of brains, then buy the struts from someone that accually has them and wait for their response....I think...

Your struts!? They must have a very quick turn-around period for parts!
Re: Tucson J's III
Wednesday, February 15, 2006 11:51 AM
Chris: Funny.....eBay doesn't sell porn, vintage or not. Trust me....I've tried.

Rey: Yep...funny thing is, the seller is in Las Vegas and the box came directly from Tokico USA in California. The seller might just have told the manufacturer to send it directly to me.

Update: Struts are springs finished install Feb. 15 midnight. You guys gotta see this thing!!!

Still waiting on black TYC taillamp housing. Supposed to be here today, but I gotta wait on "brown" they come by during the evening usually and I have stuff coming in. They're probably just compiling it for one delivery. Who knows.
