Yeah I got pretty lucky that the rim wasn't effected. Then we had to drive to the Woodlands,another 120miles, just to get another Yokohama ES 100 to match cause Huntsville didn't have them , nor Conroe nada. Let's just say It was a two hour delay, no paper work but they did pro-rate the new tire for $83. Still had a great time tho.

To be honest I don't know cause Trista drive's the car to work every day and I didn't see a hole from say a nail, screw or anything like that. I felt a vibration for 30 second's just before the blow out. All the other tire's were fine, and the rim wasn't damaged. It was allmost as if the tread separated. I'm just glad it wasn't a front tire or else it would've been alot harder to control.

Oh and thank's for hosting the pic's. I have dail-up it would've taken me several hour's to do that.

did you check the tire pressure before you left that day. A lot of times if you run low pressure a tire will do that.

Right rear tire? Funny, that happened when I was in my mom's 03 cavalier. Same tire too, felt vibration then BOOM! it was gone.
