forgot to say, you dont NEED a 1/2" feed hole there, 3/8" will feed MORE than enough oil to the whole engine, however the oil pressure will be quite high, so the only benefit of the 1/2" hole is if high oil pressure scares you...

a 3/8" oil feed is enough to feed a 800hp big block v8 screaming at 8000rpm so no worries on a 2.4L lol

Oil feed holes are 3/8" I think. (thats what size pipe plug I used)

The cost for just the Oil pump holes was about 1.5 hours, so around $90...... Now that I have seen the holes in person, I'm positive I could do it myself (Gary/John's pics made it alot clearer)

yeah, i have those pics too, makes it alot easier to understand, but i'm still scared to try it myself and go trough the block!!!! i'm going to get the machine shop do it, and give them the picture. they will also be boring the block, prep the crank and do some head works, so i hope they will give me a good price for everything!
thanx!

quick question, I am getting my pump swap done right now too, is it necassary to have the pan enlarged? and if so, it looks like the used approx 1" piece to make the pan deeper, is that the right size? thanks

My total machine bill was $400..... but that was for the oil passages, micro polish/champher crank, balance internal rotating assembly, gap rings, Bore/Hone block +.040", and wash the block.

I suggest you have the machine shop gap your rings (depending on what they charge) just because its time consuming..... and make sure you tell them what to gap them at (IE if you have a boosted motor, gap them looser).

Ge_Force...... I went with an oil pan from Miller Performance and it comes powder-coated in your choice of color.

Could some1 send me the pics?? I have a fully built motor, .20, weisco pistons and eagle rods, clevite bearings, but i dont have the 2.3 oil pump conversion, which i hate. I will probably tear it back down and have this done if I can get some clear enough directions. What do you all need for this? Just the pump from the 2.3 and the machining?
