There is a distributor down in my town or even Troy which is about 30 to 40 mins from Elmira. That has kegs. I think they may even be some just down from the border of ny. But i'm not sure on that part. Usually keg deposits are like 50 bux. I think.

Burnout wrote:Just a couple q's. How much will it cost us to run at the track? Also, is there going to be any rules as to the number of cars allowed on the track at one time (safety first..lol). If I get my car running good by then, I'll be there with my cavy, as well as possibly 2 others with a Camaro SS and SRT-4. Should I add myself to the list now, or wait until I'm 100% sure? Thanks for the info, sounds like a great time.

Steph has been more than generous in securing the track, so there should be no cost for track time. However, I believe at least a helmet will be mandatory.

I think a helmet is required no matter what. I don't think there was a specfic one you have to have. But not sure on that either.

Steph when we go back to your house I wanna see that awesome new dog you got!

Re: Ideas for an NY meet up

LOL indy will be there actually all my dogs will be there. except daisy she will be confined in her room and if none of you let her out you all will be going home as you came lol... INDY by the time this meet starts will probably triple the size she is now lol

MIKEYLIKEY what in gods name are you thinking.. honestly do you think I owuld drive to IL to pick up a low life lol.. i doubt it.. im with Borsty bea.. i mean shake your hand lol

HELMETS are required. I have a full racing helmet anyone can use. they will allow 4 cars at a time for 1/4 and only 2 for full. the price is on me. i have rented for 100 cars since no one has an idea on how many will actually show. feel free to bring friends. no beverages allowed on track. has to stay in stands. if you have had drinks they will not let you race or be on track.

I am guessing all are comming to my house after. I have a nextel phone does anyone else. would be easy to keep in contact that way for the 30 min drive down. just in case anyone gets lost following me in my fast car. lol.

AND about the beer kegs I do have a wegmans and a tops ill check out prices. I am more of hard and mixed drinks so I will stock my bar up. its nice to have a friend who owns a bar. anyways i will get 2 beer kegs and if anyoen wants anytthing in perticular bring it. also I have 3 ice chests. if anyone has any others bring thema s well. we may need more not really sure.

For food ill be getting some: steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs and snack crap like chips and such.. if anything else is wanted please let me know or post in here. dates getting closer any one else getting excited.. About time i get to meet some of you guys. this will be my first meet. has everyone else already met up?

Will a bike helmet suffice? lol.. I have a rather um.. large Cranium. I've met basically everyone leaving from Carousel mall that morning. Very good friends with most of them. I'll be bringing down a case soda for me and my g/f and any others who are underage and need to drive home somewhat sober. Since we are under the age, can't just drink beer all night. I can bring an ice chest as well for the soda. I am gettin very excited...

I tend to forget that not everyone is over 21. gosh I recall those days lol.

I dont think a bike helmet is okay they wanted a full helmet. I am sure others have some or they might even have some there.

I can't help but notice, it seems Steph is dropping a lot of money on this event... I feel pretty bad, is there anything more we can do to help out?

Im a little confused. Are they letting us use only enough track to run the quarter or are we allowed on the entire track?

i might be going, if sinrocker has his car done then ill probably jump in his car with him. if i can find someone to get in the car with me, then ill come with my SLOWvalier. i probably would not race at the track, but if its free, chances are ill end up doing it just for kicks. ill keep you posted via IM stephanie. dont put me on the confirmed list yet.
