I think the cop was having a bad day, and seeing those bright green washer lights made the rage in him just to much and he had to slame you for other things. You should know not to drive with any lights on outside your car, no matter what color. Most cops hate them and the hole tuner idea. It only takes 1 thing to pull you over but if they see more, good luck. Sorry man.

Some of you guys are being a bit harsh. Yes the safety things do matter and if you get caught, yeah I guess you deserve it. As far as having your bumper too low...that's a little overboard.

Yes, there are rules and regulations but sometimes people should be cut a break. For example, I think window tinting should be legal. Your not effecting your safety and for the most part it helps with looks on a car and not having the sun blare in so much. I think that it should be illegal to have it on your front windshield cause that can be dangerous if it's too dark.

Not saying he is totally innocent of course but hitting someone up for a ton of tickets is mainly a money issue more than a safety issue. He isn't harming anyone by having windshield washer neons and honestly I'm sure people he's behind won't think he's an ambulance.

I'm defenitley not saying that Cops are all bad, I know for the most part they are like you and me just doing their job but sometimes they can push it a little bit. I myself have gotten breaks and I've gotten s*** faced by cops. The things that I knew I did wrong, I was mad at myself, not the officer.

i got pulled over in Spring Garden Twp. last night, its near York College of Penna., for having yellow headlights, when I asked him if/why they were illegal he blew me off and gave me a work order due in 7 days, not as bad as it could have been, but bullschit none the less

i've gotten my fair share of tickets and i wish you luck with yours, but dude............did you really remove your side markers and drill holes in your hood for the LED washer lights?

if you don't feel you were in the wrong, fight it... you have the right to... but make sure you know the laws and what you can and can't get away with... if the car passed inspection the way it currently sits, you have a pretty good chance of probably getting out of most of it... (again... probably)

njs honda killer... i can understand the tint laws (and yes i do have my windows tinted and have been pulled over once for my tint) because you could have a weapon and intend to cause harm to an unsuspecting police officer when they approach your vehicle if you get pulled over... it's more for the safety of patrol men than anything (at least that's my view on it)

I was stoped and talked to about my turn signals and i was in the wrong, but never once did the cop say anything about my front bumper being to low, rear bumper being to low. I say BS to those 2 things. Cause most newer stock cars are illegal according to some of pa laws. How do I know this. Cause the cop that talked to me told me that. and he is going to classes for inspection laws/codes for cars. He is like are cop cruiser isn't even legal height. The crush gaurd he can't just guess on that. Would have actually had to look at the bumper to see it. Side markers. THe only thing I can say is are cars don't have side mounted markes unless you count the corner lens but being yours is a sunfire I don't believe you have them. I'm not sure about the sunfire either I've never known are cars to have rear side markers? The only thing I know for rear side markers is your tail light if they are setup to wrap some around the outside of your rear quater. Any neon's or LEDS are illegal to be on while in motion. The banner would depend on if it was below the tint line I believe. but could be wrong.

The inspection thing if from pa won't help any. atleast that is how the cop told me with my turn signals. Cause I had blue led turns mounted in my front bumper. and he said that isn't legal. and needed to be changed. I said the inspection station never said anything about it. And the officier was like all they are concerned about is you have turn signals headlights work, brakes are good and wipers work. Nothing else. But the cop when he was talking to me gave me a 30 day repair thing on my car. And was being a dick but wasn't being a dick. cause he was trying to make sure things were done correctly so I didn't have to worry about a more serious problem with the law. Trying to save "us" some heart ache and long drawn issues with cops. By simply informing me that things where not correct and talked about things that are and are not legal. I'm thinking of getting ahold of him to write up some common things ppl do wrong when customizing cars so it can be posted so atleast ppl in pa have an ideal of what they can and can't do.

Yeah man, that cop was definitely in the mood to ruin some kids day. I had clear corner lights and bumper lights with clear bulbs on my car for years and never got pulled over for them.

I drove home from Rt.30 one day with no hood, no side mirrors, no rear view mirror, no interior and no front / rear bumper. I even passed a few cops on the way back. You can ask Tim about that because I went up to meet with him when he bought my hood. Talk about a ricetastic Cavalier there, that is maddddd weight reduction

Didn't you know driving a vehicle in PA is now illegal? We all have to switch back to horse and buggy. BTW that horse will be pissed if you drill through his nose for some LEDs!

PS- Look up the law. Modding your car in PA is all ways taking a chance, bad day cops will get you for anything. Lowering your car, changing you wheels, lights, tint, leds, even putting gas in your tank all are illegal. (ok maybe not the gas thing).

For those who say they didn't know this and didn't know that, read up!

Well as far as the tint thing goes it is for the cops saftey well that was the point anyway however it would be just as easy to make you step out of the car. Sure more embarassing but safter for the cop. I think that window tint is a Saftey improvment in that it reduces glare at night from the newer high intensity bulbs that are poppin up everywhere and the guys driving around in the suvs and truck that lights are up so high. Also another saftey improvment with tint is side windows when or if they break do not break into a million peices. Most states have regulations on modding cars I think most of them came about long before fiberglass and urathane body parts however. At any rate now ya know whats wrong and can fix it..... oh and yeah aftermarket accent lights are a big nono its not so much someones gonna think your a cop or ambulance whcih by the way ya dont need to pull over for in PA unless they changed the law in the last couple years. Well anyway good luck with court.

Not only the safety improvement for our vehicles in respects to an accident but also if windows were tinted it would make it more difficult for would be theives to see what is in your car.

Why is it that trucks and SUVs can have limo tint and it's completely legal... whereas a car cannot? To me that's complete total BS. If I was a cop I"d be more "intimidated" by someone with limo tint on an SUV with bling blingin wheels than a car...
