Anybody lowered on 18's?
Monday, August 02, 2010 12:22 PM
Looking to see how much drop was allowed without rubbing. Looking at Modified Motoring (M2). They claim a 2.0" drop all around. I didn't know if that was too much for it to rub.

i had 18s with 35mm offset and a 1.5" drop on Gravana coilovers

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

It might help anyone wondering about offset/fitment if you guys had your width listed.

18x7.5" - 225/40/18 - +45 offset
Lowered on Sprint Springs and Tokico D-specs
Springs are rated for 1.8" drop in the rear. and they sagged roughly down to 2" the but the springs are made for 96-02 Z24 when developed.. so anyone with a 2200 or eco will have problems with the back end looking like its lower. Mainly because it is with a lighter motor in the front the springs don't sag as much as supposed to. Some people like it, i hated it. rather the front be lower then the rear. Thats why if i ever lower the car again its getting coilovers. Didn't have any rubbing issues either.

my sedan is on the right... 18x7's with a 225/40/18 dropped on goldlines/koni yellows (i believe they were around a 43mm offset). raskal's old sunfire on the right dropped on 18's as well (dunno the specs on his wheels) with 225/40/18's and I believe eibach sportlines and tokicos

a pic of mine from the side as well...
