He's had to replace a few things here and there(injectors and some seals is all I can think of off the top of my head). He uses only Mobile 1 Synthetic. <br>

no engine difficulies
1988 Cavalier RS 2.0L/5spd= 125,000 miles (sold)
sold due to move
1984 Cavalier Type 10 2.0L/4spd= 156,000 miles (exploded engine)
main bearing/rod bearing failure- engine exploded
1996 Cavalier coupe 2.2L/A3= 163,000 miles (traded)
headgasket replaced @ 150,00miles
1998 Cavalier coupe 2.2/5spd= 180,000 miles (still runs outstanding)
no mechnical issues, hyperactive CHECK ENGINE light traced to bad sensor jack
1985 Cavalier Type 10 hatchback 2.0L/A3= 176,000 miles (crushed due to rust)
crushed as it was very very very rusty and about to break in half. Engine ran well.
I still say that the 2.0/2.2/2200 engine was one of the best engines GM ever built. Never once has mine failed to start at -30F and never once has any of them ever left me stranded.
