My goodness John, I technically don't have a house or apartment right now and I own three j-body cars. Got one in storage, one soon to be in storage and driving my newest to the family.

I had my mind made up for me... at least, for now. The person I was potentially trading cars with changed their mind, so it's still mine for now.. there's another fellow offering an 03 Cav with a few mods plus $$$... though we haven't worked out the details yet. May not work... we'll see.
If not.. over the winter, I think I'm going to part out the body kit, hood, etc... see if I can find someone to trade entire front ends with... I want the sleeper look back... Maybe a 03-05 Z24/LS Sport front end... or 03-05 Sunfire... see what I can come up with. It needs a paint job anyway...
Or there's always the possibility of this contest I entered... they give you a slightly-used 08 Jeep Wrangler 4 door... value $32,000 CDN... in trade for you crushing your old car. I think I'd crush it for that...
awww man, if its going to be crushed cant you atleast put a diff motor.. that is a bad ass cav, and i would never want to hear a word about it being crushed, ill trade you my car and you can have it crushed... lol.

I just bought some old POS to drive in the winter and leave my Sunfire in the driveway with a battery tender on it...
I live in a triplex and have to share a driveway and it works OK for me..

4 door wranglers suck, unless you want everyone to think you're a soccer mom.

I hope you realise, crushing that car will make baby jesus cry. Thats a fact, I read it on wikipedia. It's definetly one of the nicer looking cars on here, not to mention probably the only vert with a 3800.
I feel your pain, I too am thnking of selling my vert. Its just not a good wet weather/winter car. I want too keep it but for now its my daily driver n that is killing me. Plus it leaks and the back window fell out. I want a beater for the winter but then id have 3 cars and a project truck ugh. best of luck to whichever you decide. i know it must be difficult.
Get a storage unit of at least 20 x 30 in size. That's a perfect fit for you to have storage for the car and be able to work on it.
I've got one that I use for the Cavy and works perfectly for my purposes.
I also got a daily driver in a Toyota for a grand and it's been the best grand spent so far.
The 'yota hasn't let me down once and been a DD for about 2.5 years while I work on the Cavy.
And owning more than one car isn't that expensive as you think.
I'm in the process of obtaining a Porsche 944 for 3 grand so that would make me having 3 cars.
The Cavy would be the project car, the 'yota the weekly DD and the Porsche for the weekends.
Once the Cavy is on the road again, I'll have a choice in rides for the weekends and when it rains, the Porsche will be driven while the Cavy stas free of rain and dirt.
So think about it John and wish you good luck with our choice.

wow that is a nice freakin ride, I would hang onto it. I have given up a few cars that I still think about and almost cry that I did what I did(trade in of or sell). I went from having atleast 2 cars to drive around to just one(the '07 SS/SC) and man, when it came time to get my old cavalier back from my sister to figure out what was wrong with it so I could have a daily I jumped on it, course the money dropped into it to get it back to running was enough to where I could of gotten a much better used ride but hindsight I did not have. Good luck with whatever you decide though, I cannot do the one car thing especially if it has money into it like the balt.
