98-02 LN2 Valve cover guts w/Pics

I've got a buddy who is building an LN2 and he asked me to build him a valve cover and just like my ECOTEC WRITE UP I used the same tools to take the LN2 cover apart (98-02). I will state that there is little material for tapping on these so you would have to drill all the way through, tap and then thread the bolts in and cut off the access on the top if you want to add any baffling of your own. Otherwise I would simply suggest using a drill bit covered in wheel bearing grease at a low speed to drill the holes for your an bungs in the area's that are covered by the internal cover plates. The metal shavings will stick to the bit and help keep any bits from falling into the cover. There are no plastic baffles at all in this motor so you could just weld bungs onto if if you wished after the proper prep work.

Here is whats under the steel cover plates after you knock off the rivets.

Here is what cover plates look like out of the valve cover.

This little pin hole is the only thing I noticed within the system.

Crazy simple on this valve cover.....
