For the higher Rpm, management wise I am running a AEM EMS stand alone. Don't have the stock ECU anymore, so i can't answer you question how to change the redline with the stock ECU.

For the injectors, i'll let you know as soon as I have them. For more information they are disk type injectors (great for high RPM, may be slightly leaky at idle (not too bad).) For the fitting and everything, I wanna be sure to test them before telling anyone.

Thanks for all the good comments !

I'm having a heck of a time searching through all the posts I've missed around here...but has anyone bought ARP head or main studs that actually fit right on their LN2? <br>

Here is a little update :

Exhaust manifold, based on the one made by Johnny Mack, but a with a little change, its equal lenght (to within 1/4 of an inch ), all in 316L stainless and the collector is in 321 stainless steel (the flange is also in 316L), turbo on there is just for mock up :

3" stainless Cat high flow :

Coil pack :

Injectors 52lbs/hr a 40psi, side feed (REALLY HARD TO FIND !) :

ok first of all that turbo is way too small to support airflow anywhere near 500hp and seecond why do you have a picture of an external wastegate when you have an internally gated turbo? also don't mess around with that POS engine dude.....dump a couple grand into that thing and you will barely break 200hp...maybe 250 if you are lucky....but I got double that with putting less money in that thing........make a better plan

Bah... keep the 2.2.

Its already proven that you can make 250HP with just 13 psi on a good 2.2

just 13 psi? aren't their 2.4's making close to that on 8 psi?

Sure there are. My point was just that the 2.2 can do it. Crash seemed to think that you can only get 200-250HP if your lucky. I say that is far from true. Its obvious that a motor with 2x the valves and more displacement will make more power on less boost.

Hell I could just drop a 3.1 in my car with some mild mods and turbo it and make 250hp/ftlbs on 6psi.

well if thats what crash meant... that dumb of course its possible.. but is it practical to build the 2.2 when u can make the power much easier and safer on the 2.4?

Re: Engine project : 2004-2005 !

Sure why not. I dont really see how its any safer on the 2.4 tho.

Sure you can get a bit more power out of a stock 2.4 but hell my bone stock, 175k mile, 2.2 made 210hp and tq on 8psi. Eventually your gonna need stronger internals ect on either motor.

My goal was to see what I could do with the motor originally included in my car. So far its working out pretty nicely I think.

Any proof that the 2.2/2200's is a "POS"? 238hp with pump gas, stock timing, stock head, stock cam, and stock internals doesnt sound like a "POS" 4 cly to me.

Crash : As Adler said, read !

Adler : AEM EMS not done yet, I need to change the plugs of my wiring harness to fit the AEM and adjust the sensor ranges. I'll keep you informed as it goes along.

Dan Morisson : I'll post something, the shop working on my engine should put them up for sale on their web site. These injectors are comming from the UK and take a long time to get here ( I waited 1 month and a half for them !!).

i don't think you'll make 500 with that turbo... you'll need a bigger one, but everything else is good... but if your quest is for a usable power curve... that turbo will be awesome..

I'm pretty sure Crash did read that. On the first page Luc says hes using a Mitsu TD05H Evo3 16G and plans to make 500hp. He then posted a pic of his TD05H Evo3 16G and it has an internal waste gate. I don't think he was talking about the turbo hangin off the header at all.

BTW, that header looks very nice. And yes, a TD05H 16G won't make 500hp.
