2200 Injectors

Trying to put together a turbo kit for my 99 2200 and was wonder if these would work?

Accel

And is anyone here using them?

If not I will just go with the RC injectors.

you are better off with RC Injectors. And flow rates depend on how much horsepower you are looking to make and duty cycle, depending on your level of tuning. Fill me in on your project goals and I'll let you know what to pick up.

8 psi... 310cc injectors will suit you wonderfully

15 psi on a fully built motor? hmmmm... 550cc injectors on a rich tune.

I believe on the 98-99 2200 they should be a direct interchange for the stock injectors.

Also just for referance, the stock 98-99 2200 injectors are around a 17-18 lb/hr flow rate, or in the 180cc range.

If you have someway to tune the fuel, either with an SAFC-2 or adjustable regulator or adjustble FMU most people get away with running the red top ford injectors which are a 30 lb/hr setup, and even though the stock injector is a low impedance design and the ford os a high impedenace design they work fine with no mods needed to the stock PCM.

Ok here is another ?

If the high impedence #24 injectors work on the 2000+ 2200 then what is to say that the injctors that come with the GM charger would not fit?

Well if the injectors from the GM S/C kit are the multec design, and not the traditional bosch design the plug is different and you would have to re wire the harness with new plugs. but if they are the saem plug they shouold work fine, and i believe they are a 310cc design, which should be good to around 190-200 crank HP

if the ones for the charger are a direct fit for the 2.4 then they would for the 2200 as well.

That's what I would think! Also what are the z24 injectors? 25/lbs? I'll get a S-AFC and the Z24 injectors if I can benefit from the added flow with the nitrous!

the z24 ones are 24/lbs i belive. You should not need any software to run them though. i had a set on my 2200 but not enouph fuel pressure to fun them. the comp ran fine with them.

Hoy Crap Batman, that is some nice power numbers for your 2200 with that much boost.

But.....WTF are you going to sell it for??? Your just now getting the tune up right to make some serious power.

I am pretty sure that I am hearing some noises somewhere inside the motor. It is either rod knock or a piston let loose.
I have reached my goal with the car.....running low 13s with full interior & driving home from the track, the car made some pretty good power, the car stayed pretty f*cking reliable, and I scared off alot of the local V8 guys from racing Sunfires

That tuning was all done with a Cartech FMU, no S-AFC. My plan was to get a S-AFC later on so we could fix were the air/fuel dipped down.
The injectors might be high impedence. I cannot remember.

Hmmm, where can you get a set of the ford injectors? What car do they come from? Part number??

And.. Your saying you can just take Z24 injectors and pop em' into the 2.2, and they'll run fine?.. And if not an adjustable FPR might be all that's needed to make em' run right?
