what about the 4t45e, its basically the same but has 3.29 ratio and not the 3.05

The 4t45e differential should be the same as the 4t40e differential.

I've got that eco bell housing just hanging out in the garage now, finished putting in the new trans last night. How great it feels to have a 3rd gear again

I have the service manual at work with me today, so I'll try to get the 4t40e dissasembly/assembly pages copied.

Yes, just did this over the weekend for my '02 Z24..... matter of fact, all US F23 Getrags (I say US because I have found some European F23 Getrags that dont look like ours) share the same design, just different bell housings depending on the engine its mated to.

Mike, you need to take the trnas out the car, then you need to split the case to get the diferential out.

not a complete 'install guide' for the getrag, but it at least has pics of how to split the case, and how the insert is installed
