is the wiring the same from a 97 4spd to 2002 4spd, Im gettting ready to do engine and tranny replacement and found an auto trans with 4.5k from an '02 was wondering if it will mate up with the 98 2200 engine/wiring/ecu that I am going to use. Thanks!!

as long as the 4t40e was from a 2200 it should be fine. If the 4t40e was from any other vehicle like a 2.4 it will not even bolt up to your motor. But wiring harness and shift linkage and cable assembly should be identical. If the trans is not for your application lemme know I may be able to use it as a backup if its for a 2.4 ...... aim me.
