sami_ s wrote:This is really irritating. Ashley you never reply to anything I have to say, but I have to take up for you on this one. I am also a full-time student. I'm majoring in science and I have no time to do anything to my car (that's why it's been four colors for about 4 months now)... go to school, come home, study, sleep, go back to school. I can't imagine having a full time job while going to school.. I can understand you not having any time to do anything to your car. I can't be lucky enough to have all day- everyday to work on my car. Didn't you state that your husband has done like 40% of the work to your car and that you help out when you can? Come on people really. I guess EVERYONE on this site is supposed to do ALL their own body work-- heaven forbid someone takes it to a shop. If I had the money to take mine to a shop, I sure as hell would. Anyone would. I love knowing that I did something on my own to my car, but it is a hassle and very time consuming-- & I just want to see my car finished as I am sure Ashley does as well. If Ashley did everything on her own, with her having no free time, I'd say we wouldn't be seeing her car finished for like two years. =) Seems like it will take me that long.

People are jealous. I am jealous. I love your car and cannot wait to see it finished and I am glad it is a girl's car. I love that idea below though, if I had a widebody that's how I would do it. =) I've wanted to do that for a while though. I do NOT love your taillights, but I will probably like them more once I see the car painted. I love everything else!! Can't wait to see what color you decide on and can't wait to see what you have planned for the interior. I assume you're not telling us anything about either until your car is finished huh? I guess i can wait until April... good luck with everything!!

I try to apply to everyone, sometimes there are just so many posts. Thanks for the support. The tails look better in person. We still have to make them a perfect circle. I think they will look better when the car is painted. But thanks for the input. The color is the only thing I will not tell. One more month.

The car looks really nice. I really love the RH Evolution C5 wheels.

Im just a little confused about having a turbo kit and air suspension? Up here in Canada at least, air suspension is not allowed at the tracks. Are you guys going to swap suspensions when you plan to race it?

Anywho, good luck with your project! Its definitely going to be a show-stopper!

Exactly.....

There is a reason Bob is not longer using the site posting frequently. There is a reason Brian is not on the site posting a lot. My car isnt no where near most of the J's on here but, I don't post pics anymore either.

Ashley your car is going to look amazing!!! You aren't going to get a fair reaction on the org. Some people want to pic apart every little detail like " I dont respect those who dont do their own work" when they are driving around themselves with a half painted interior, 14 inch rims, and a jensen amp with no courage to do their own work but, hate on you?

The best thing is to take your posts to your team site and go nutz there, the org isnt what its supposed to be anymore. There are some members who still love the car modification seen and support the craft but its become more of a panel of judges than an open forum. Just stop fighting, its a losing battle!!! I promise you one thing just like Bob's car, when you are at shows people are going to piss all over themselves when they see it and they wont say this crap at shows.......Take it easy, enjoy your project, and win some damn trophies,

But leave some little ones for me

I'm not sure about your area but the tracks around here will allow you to run air suspension as long as no part of the frame hits the track when the bags are completley deflated.

Ashley I like the way the car is coming along. Keep us updated on the progress.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has posted on this thread positive or negative and has been respectful and represented the org like it should be. Thanks, I really do appreciate it.

HAHAHAHA so true
but then she couldnt be demanding all the respect she so wholly deserves for being "the first girl to go this extreme".

Ill say it before and ill say it again, just because you are a girl doesnt mean we should respect you more
The work that you are doing or getting done or whatever, its great, nice to see a project this big. But you earn respect, not go in search of it. thats just my 2 cents tho.

Your comments reflect well on your business.

I'm not asking for everyone to like me or my car, I am asking that people grow up and respect people as a person and not make childish comments like the ones that have been made by certain people. I just would expect that people would want to treat fellow j-body owners with respect because we are all here doing the same thing. I don't want respect for the car, I want respect as a person and not to be put down for not doing all the work myself and other comments that have been made, I guess thats just too much to ask from certain members on this site.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has posted on this thread positive or negative and has been respectful and represented the org like it should be. Thanks, I really do appreciate it.

Certain individuals just can't stay away, nice to know all they want to do is create drama. Enough is enough, grow up.

after seeing that you couldnt let stuff go and you try to keep at least one of your posts at the top at all times, this is my conclusion

i give you props for the work you are having done, or doing, or whatever you wanna say, but all you do is egg people on with your retorts. If you wanted respect, you would have gotten it if you just ignored the haters. But to each their own. At least half the drama created in this thread is of your doing.

To everyone who has come into this thread and posted comments good or bad about my CAR, thank you.

I have asked the org to close this thread because there are certain individuals that think that the org should be a place were you call people names and for making rude comments. This isn't what the org is suppose to be, but I guess as long as they allow people like this to continue to act this way it won't change.

Once again thanks to everyone who has posted in this thread in a adult manor, it is very appreciated.

My updates will now be only on my site, I am no longer going to be a part of the org. as long as people like this are allowed to be on it. So for anyone who has followed the process and wants to look at updates just go to my site and leave me feedback good or bad.

Thanks

Ashley Becker
