um, you DO know that the CIvic hood is NOT kandied, right?? That's just plain ole partially painted. Kandy is transparent (thus why Casey had to spray silver as the base coat).

Question I have.... will the taillight swing out too?? Or just the piece below it? I've never sized up the rubber surround at the pump compared to the trim piece below tail... Also, where do you live?? I think you need to spray the kandy blue w/ two-tone black on my car after body work!! lol

Ummmm...YES, it is Kandied.....I know what Kandy paint is thus I have been painting cars for a long while now.....On carbon fiber you can use the Kandy/transparent coat and shoot it without a base...IE Orion Silver or Solar gold.....The effect you get is a normal looking carbon fiber until the light hits it.....I know its kandied because I Painted it.....maybe this pic is better...The patially painted parts were done so the graphix would flow better....

Well i live on Ohio about 2 hours south of Cleveland and 2 hours north of Columbus if that helps you out any haha. So if you live anywhere near by just come on by haha

So i think i came to the conclusion that i will kandy my hood. But i am going to wait. The reason for me waiting is since my car was wrecked and i have made a appt for inspection I am on a deadline right now on getting it done and i cant keep getting myself into new projects till its inspected. It has to be done by the 27th (Which it will be) Then i can get into some other stuff. Thats all for now. More pics to come once i get it back together.. Keep the questions comming if you got em.

I see better now, it's the center part that's kandied... has some red in the second pic, but looks normal (other than the silver) in the first.
