Ok, so I did a @!#$load of work tonight on the engine. Got it all painted and just about ready to be installed.
I painted the upper intake manifold and valve covers, but no pics of that. Collin is coming in to see his car on Sunday and I want it to be a surprise.
I will be installing the engine, tranny and wiring tomorrow.
This is after 3 hours of sanding, thank god that blue paint is gone.

Alternator painted flat black. Im thinking I should have sanded and painted the pulley, I might still do that.

3400 injectors swapped over, rail cleaned up and fuel lines painted.

Fuel rail installed.

And a couple of the engine right now.

Sleeping for the night, waiting to be installed tomorrow.

First of all, BIG THANX goes out to Rob, Dale, Brad, Micah and Mike for coming out and helping. I had never even met Rob before and he drove up from Newmarket to help!
Tranny painted and cleaned.

Engine and tranny ready to go in.

Car prepped for install.

Well the 3400 was too much work, so we said screw it, and put one of these back in.

I DONT THINK SO!!!!
3400 installed.

3400 harness ready to be hooked up.

More pics later this weekend.

The only F23 that would bolt to the V6 would be one off the 2200ohv.....

was turning over when I left but wouldnt start, think was bad ground, Connectors were too small for the main engine ground and the one on the trans wasn't working. I was opening them up by hand with a dull drillbit and then Darren broke one of the connectors.

Collin came by and was very pleased, so Im happy.
Before you look at the engine bay pics, remember there is still alot of work and clean up to be done.
So on with the pics.

Battery relocated to trunk.

Cant even tell the battery cable runs under here.

I will keep you guys posted, I will be working more on it this week.

I started working on it again yesterday after taking a couple weeks off.
Replaced the starter and redid all the wiring for it, its good now.
It wont fire because its got a bad cam sensor, so I will be fixing that soon.
GREAT news though. I was expecting the fuel gauge not to work, I was expecting to have to reflash it as an 04 Malibu. Guess what? IT WORKS
