ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a video I got. Loud as hell because its an open downpipe. Also, this is before we bumped the idle up from 600 to 950, so it idles a little funny.
Yes, I know, there is alot of cleanup work to do, but atleast it runs now.

Well work has prevented me from getting too much done on this car lately. Today Collin came by and we got some work done.
First off, I made a CAI from his old 2200 one. I REALLY hate the MAF being where it is, it would look alot cleaner without it there, but it has to be, so
I just need to trim where the filter goes once I get the bumper re-fitted, then it will recieve o coat of paint.
Then, this...
Why you ask? This is why...
More pics later this week.
Sounds great

well i asked him to do it, it was a last request so i think you can look past that. thanks for posting
lol no i have no problem with people doing burn outs. but there are a lot of Hipacrits (sp) on here is what i'm saying.
And what are you proving by bringing it up? That forums respect their elder members who have been around for awhile and that actually do good work.
That is all you're proving. So you might want to drop it, or get flamed. Darren = old pro, you = n00b - therefore different rules apply.

I bow down before your skills and knowledge Darren
Keep the progress up buddy!

Other than that. i think it looks great. a suggestion tho. is there a possibl way to put the MAF in the wheel well with the filter??
^^^ I don't know if we could have, considering where we had it then moved it to, we would have to lengthen the wires even further, and we had just set them to that length Monday night. plus, where it has been moved to allows for easier replacement in the event of a malfunction.
where's my soldering pics?
I didnt put the MAF in the wheel well for a couple reasons. Didnt want to expose it to too much water, ease of install and also tuning would be pretty hard with it moved so far from the throttle body.
With that said, here are a few more pics. Brad and I got alot done last night. We wired up the alternator since its a 00 Impala harness and a 94 Cav alternator. We extended the wires for the MAF and IAT, modified the 2nd gen ac compressor mount/engine mount and cleaned up the wiring alot. Here are the pics.
Before.
After.
Installed.
IAT and MAF wiring getting lengthened.
Done, just gotta wrap it.
All done, I also lengthened the breather hose to the intake as you can see here.
Picture of the wiring infront of the engine, looks alot cleaner now I think.
I am working on it again tomorrow, more pics then.
soooooooooo close!!!!!not much more
i knew i made the right decision
Darren FTW
I still haven't heard it run

Let me know how the alternator works for you. I'm having problems with my brother's '98 that I swapped the W41 in..... I cant seem to keep the 2.3 alternator charging. I thought it might have something to do with it being from the OBD-1 vs OBD-2 (I spliced it in just like I did on the OBD-1 '95 harness, and that one worked fine.....)
