Last I heard from John was that the replacement parts were designed and in production, but STD did not give him a production date.

Wont be any until the rear sleeve pieces show up since im not moving the car, I get the LSJ head I found, the money to send it to M2 for all the boring and p&p and assembly, and cover the rest of my bills for the month. Going to be one big expensive purchase and I gotta cover everything else before I take care of the car. Christmas cost more than I thought and that is delaying the car. Good news is I have about 4 months to get things ready.

LSJ head, M2 port and polish, stock cobalt head gasket. Swapping everything from the head on the car now over to the LSJ head. Gotta get it bored for the bigger spring seats and going to see about the extra oil passages above the exhaust side to spray oil on the exhaust side valve train under high rpm. Going to have them assemble the head so its a drop on affair. Sucks I can get a PAIR of LS1 heads for what im spending on a single 4 cylinder head.

And sorry darren, not sure if there is a simpler way to get it across to you besides reading...

A package showed up for me today so im hoping its my lower mount since another guy got his. Then I have to pick up the LSJ head I found and get it home. Then save up the funds to get that head done and pull mine off the car thats on there now. Getting closer to complete once again.

THANK GOD my parts were still in the package... Obviously, they could have been put in a small box or something more durable than the envelope... I know part is shippers fault... but how they stayed in... IDK. Could have also used more than a sleeve of bubble wrap.

But I got them on.

You can see that when I had them set at 1mm, was hardly biting. I set them at 4mm first time and shocked myself but they were dead on!

Gonna try to run them, still have the Azenis in them, After looking at the cuts, it looks like it cut into the tread where it rolls around. Still tossing it up. Might chance it, might not.

Finally, its a roller.

Finally how I want it sitting

Still going to rent/borrow the eastwood roller and have at it!

Rear discs are partially on my bedroom floor. I figure the head is a little more important right now

I have the brackets for the Jeffie Saturn swap and it will get done. I would just rather have a car I can drive with a good head on it and have it ready for tuning in the spring. Any other side projects on the car that require $$$$ is getting put aside til the head is done. That is number 1.

Thank you though everyone. I am finally happy with it. Glad to be able to say the car is almost finished. I know people say that they never are, but mine almost is.

Doing the jeffie swap huh, I figured you would go with willwoods to match the front.

I am sure he would ( as would I ) if someone made a Wilwood kit.
