Kudos to Steve Cote on his excellent write up

I'm doing this install right now!! Well... part of it tonight... the rest tomorrow (too late to make loud noise... I'm now at the hacksaw part... have to take a break til the morning )

That ridge is really hard to see.. but I can see why it's like that... once you cut out the metal ring, you're matching the edge of the metal. I didn't realize that the control arms were the same for both sides, just flipped upside down (and the ball joint is on the opposing side). Good ol' (cheap) GM!!! Now I have to remember to put the ridge in one way on the left, the other way on the right..

Mind you.. the control arms (and the whole subframe) on my 2000 are in pretty rough shape... lots of rust on the welds.. I think I'll strip it down and throw some paint at it...

crappy tires can do that. tightening up the rear (especially w/ the swaybar) will do that

oversteer would be your problem I think. It would be when you go barreling into a corner and your front end points where you want it to but your back end slides out to the opposite direction almost like how someone drifts a corner.

Could be your rear sway bar is to big or to small compaired to your front causing the Oversteer. You would want something neutral? Pending on your front sway size compared to the rear.

Example: I have the FE2 suspension on my car so 22mm front sway bar and I installed a 19mm hellwig rear sway bar and my car is like neutral. Feels like riding on rails.

My 2 bits,

I found using a large hole saw is easier than trying to hacksaw your way though the bushing. Just get something that comes close to the edge (I believe I used a 2 3/4 hole saw). It will make one hell of a mess and smoke, but it gets the job done much easier and quicker.
