-rksport upper and lower motor mounts
-prothane trans mounts

-stock cat
-crap tires

current personal records

-best e/t 14.91@90mph

-best 60' 2.09

hopefully going to beat them all today... but I think that was the best the car had in it.. time for more mods and better tires

Cams are a internal engine part..........if they were STOCK you would not have changed them a ENGINE is more than a bottom end.............

GO race IHRA/NHRA Stock class........hmm swapping cams NOT allowed

Dougalls car is not 100% stock either it has a intake and a muffler..........

Re: Berst Ecotec Times - Stock Motor's only

reading this post makes me want to hurt myself....

Mods:
RK Sport intake
Pacesetter header
Magnaflow cat
2.25" exhaust
Motor mounts
Short shifter

My best E/T was a worhtless 15.5! My 60' times are terrible though, but should improve this year with the addition of 225 size Kumho Ecsta ASXs.

I plan to have control arm bushings and tranny mounts before I run again as well.

My damn wife ran a 16.0 in a stock auto. it makes me sick.

Red04cavy,
I hate to say it but your going to run worse times with those ASXs than the stock BFGs unless maybe they are on stock rims and you have a thicker sidewall. I have never gotten my ASX's on 17s to hook at the track, I replaced my stock BFG Radials with a Traction T/A I use for winter driving, air them down to 22 PSI and they hook up well at a 3500k drop most of the time.

My Best time was 15.136@89.83

--03 LS Cav Non Sport--
Ported Throttle Body
K&N Intake
Upper/Lower Mounts
Koni Yellows
BFG Traction T/As on 15s at 22 psi
Full 2.25 Exhaust
RKSport 4-2-1 Header
No spare tire

VIPERREDZED wrote:so we did pretty good to get 15.17 out of a bone stock Ecotec with just a AEM intake and my Drag Radials on it lol

that explains the good 60' and hence good et

-dougall- wrote:if its got mounts than its not stock!!!!

the drag radials will make way more difference than motor mounts, so I would argue that your car wasn't stock either...its splitting hairs as to which minor mods count and which ones don't...

and before anyone flames...my times suck...I need better springs and control arm bushings (mine are shot)...cuz I have horrible wheel hop...
