GM to bring back the Camaro or Chevelle
Sunday, April 10, 2005 4:45 AM
Camaro/Chevelle- Chevy has an all new sporty coupe set to debut in 2007 on the Zeta platform. This car is very similar to the 2007 GTO, with the exception of tighter styling. At this point the assumption is that this car will be the all new Camaro. There is however an outside rumor that this car may be hastily redesigned and given a more appropriate name such as Chevelle. Then GM would design a Camaro on an all new midsized RWD platform loosely based on a lengthened Kappa platform. This platform (rumored to be called "Beta") was first previewed in the Holden Torana TT36 concept shown at the 04 Sydney International Auto Show. This would slightly delay a Camaro to possibly 2008. Either way, we will keep you updated!

Actually last i heard GM is going to move its RWD drive vehicles to a version of Sigma. Well except Chevy which won't be getting a vehicle off of Sigma because they can't produce a vehicle for under 25k on Sigma. No Camaro it seems.....

Unfortunately with the shakeup no one knows if G.M. will risk another lower production car like the Camaro even if it can compete with the Mustang. The bean counters might kill it before it starts. G.M. has it's problems to work out similar to Ford of five years ago.

^^^ working them out? i don't see them even realizing they have a problem. more like continuing to dig their hole for 15 years

HEY! but at least we'll all get some great new trucks, and heck maybe even some niffty new Hummers. heck they haven't made a Hummer off the Aveo platform so, hey, there is hope.
